  1. Hi Red Rubi. Sounds like the problem is now well sorted. I would only add to very carefully inspect that axle's opposing side shackles, pins and rubbers as it would be under increased stress given the solid axle. That wheel is probabaly scrubbing as well, though not as badly. Cheers Mick.
  2. Hi Danny & Sue. That sounds like a great trip. What top speed do you call slow? I run 32 psi cold all around on gravel (heavy 22 foot ATV) and try to stay under 80kph. Cheers Mick

    Head units

Hi Tony. I have the VMS touring dashmount unit in my 100. Yes they are expensive but will do everything you require. I find it easy to use and would have another without hesitation. Regards Mick.
  5. Hi all. I would try to get a better balance in the whole package. No compromising on features to fit a limit. I would love to see axles moved forward lowering the pin weight. More 12 volt outlets in and out.4 solar panels. I hope to chop up and convert the 100 TD to a 6 wheel dropside to remain legal with a heavy van (weight is one of the features we all love about Kedrons, you can't be this tough and light without spending truckloads on material.) cheers Mick

    New Look

Hi So what is the quota, none! vote doesn't work for me either. Mick.
  7. Hi all. Is there any reason (geomentry) why the chain hangers can't be raised to allow for the use of more chain links without changing the headstock angle. This would keep the toes of the bars further from the ground whilst allowing slightly greater articulation. My current set-up is the minimum 4 working links which even with the hyland gets very tight in moderate turns. Regards Mick.
  8. G'day Havago Yes in bowen. I'm keen do do something to get rid of the hyland and the pic of 1000lb WDH shows the shaft as having a moulded curve towards the bussines end. My 750lb Hitch is on the limits of suggested capability and I want to retain WD bars for higher speed bitumen running. I will struggle to reduce pin weight to below 300kg. I would certainly be interested in buying a good 2nd hand hitch. Thanks for the reply. Cheers Mick
  9. Hello all. Can anyone tell me if Rocktamers fit on a 1000lb WDH. I am looking to upgrade to 6 tonne Mc Hitch. Regards Mick.
  10. Hi Bryan, We have a dreampot. It is awesome! comes with receipe book cheers Mick
  11. Hi Steve & Lyn. Thanks for the info on Yamaha 2800. Noise was my only concern but you have sorted that for me. I'm off to get one. Cheers Mick.
  12. Hello all, Just got back from weekend away with a borrowed Yamaha 2400. The weather has been very hot & humid up here in paradise, but the Yamy was without fault. The cap was unvented (5YO ). We are still thinking of the 2800 for the 11 litre fuel tank. the thing is slighty lighter, but louder than the 2400. I would be interested in 2800 owner's comments regarding the 12% increase in noise, as most times I don't think it would be an issue. Thanks to everyone for the comments
  13. Hi all. Why no petrol on drawbar? We don't have the notice on ours (bought secondhand). Cheers Mick.
  14. Hello. short lead no better for us. Iam thinking 2.8 yamaha, bit noisier but still fit second cassette in compartment as well.
  15. Thanks jk I have just made a 2.5m EHD 15 amp lead so hopefully it works for us as well. I'll let you know.
