  1. Keep your eye on the 'Sale' section of the forum something might pop up there. Also on the Facebook Kedron page sometimes has vans. Read, read, read. It will all start to make some sense. Make sure it has a diesel heater. Toyotas are certainly the way to go for a car.
  2. Would be interested to. Ours is still working but 7 years old so no doubt will need to be replaced in next couple of years. Bugger they stopped making RPD218
  3. We have an inverter in our van and generally use it however for extended stays and lousy weather at times we have also used power banks as well. They can be charged whilst you drive to and from places in the car for the day or when you go to the next place. Ordinary small one will work on phone and ipad I am using Cygnett 15,000mah. Picked it up from a telstra shop in our travels. macbook pro requires a much stronger power bank. I am using Cygnett USB-C 27,000mah. Picked this up from Harvey Norman shop after much mucking around. These can be precharged and only have to be topped up when needed.
  4. This was sent to me. I hope you take it in the vein it was intended in todays social distancing. My first thought...some people just have to much time on their hands at present. What do you call a gathering of 30 people? Four weddings and a Funeral. gathering
  5. Just not sure how much longer they will allow us free movement so finding a place to stay and work out from there until things are more clearer
  6. Our trip to Tassie has had a strange twist. We have been here since Early November and were to go home Early May. Now that the boarders are locked we can't go to Qld or WA as we are considered non essential travel and would require 14 day isolation in at least NSW and QLD or SA and WA (not Vic yet I don't think). Some states do not consider isolation in your caravan good enough. Possibly because you would be in a caravan park or free camp where people are to close not sure. This is just how at stands as at 12 noon today. At this point we are leaving our options open and have left the sailing date stand in case things change for the better!!! Hope everyone stays well and we shall see how this pans out
  7. If you mean the very front boots (where the batteries are kept) we are also experiencing this problem after all the rain. We presume that because they lean that the channels get full and overflow into this area. Just pulled out 3 very soggy towels. Anyone come up with a solution we are all ears???
  8. My goodness you are getting a lot of people for the Australia Day Gathering.  Have fun

  9. Yes unfortunately people can be real pigs and not clean up after themselves.
  10. How and where do we replace the fuel filter tony - don't leave us hanging. You know some of us aren't as clever as you.
  11. What a great roll up. Well done Tony it certainly looks like your organisational effort was greatly appreciated looking at all of the smiling faces. Have a great gathering.
  12. So jealous I can't come. Don't forget to send me pictures so I can put on the banner - Have fun
  13. Hopefully this is the end of your van troubles and you can again enjoy your travels in WA.
  14. I hate it when Tony is right. I had to look up what a spanner was before I replied. Lucky Val knows what he is doing as my only contribution for his replacement of the spring was to show him where my local mechanic works. Safe travels Tony and Annie. Regards Paul.
  15. Yeah, scarce as hens teeth those cream buns
  16. Thanks for the photos. I will put them on banners in the future.
  17. Don't have siri, what does it say?
  18. Hi Pepper, Never seen a warranty in writing but everyone was happy with there Kedrons when we were checking things out before purchase.. Since some of the other suppliers give you a written warranty and don't live up to it it seemed redundant. We have had things done after what would be the accepted period and they have always done there best for us. I realise this doesn't answer your exact question but hope it helps

Mangowine Homestead Concert - 2018 Thursday 4th - Sunday 7th October Each year the town of Nungarin has a Harvest Festival. Starting on the Friday night with a fundraiser Casserole Dinner at the Community Recreational Centre, Saturday there is the Mangowine Concert held at the homestead and Sunday is the Markets in the town of Nungarin. What we are planning is getting a group together to meet up at the Homestead which is approx. 14.5km outside Nungarin township on Karomin Road. Camping is approx. $7 per night and there are toilets but it is a bit of a walk from where the vans are. There are things to do around the homestead as well as checking out this Heritage Listed Site. Last year there were some wildflowers around. Acts this year Opening act is local band is The Eastern Line Tribute bands Roy Orbison and Blues Brothers and Sounds of the 60's The show last year was superb (approx. $25.00 a head) they had the Fab Four and the Beach Boy tribute bands. There were approx. 1,000 people there with close to 90 vans in attendance. As they don't take bookings for spots we hope getting there on Thursday will give us the ability to get some of the vans together in one spot. Eaglestone rock is near if you turn up a few days early and is a free camp - report in Kedron Campspots/Two free camps or put Eaglestone Rock in the Search Engine. Whilst the gathering will finish at Nungarin on the Sunday for those with time the week after the Concert there is the Bush racing at Kulin which is HUGE, approx. 2 hours from Nungarin. Don't know how many people they got there last year but we travelled the road and saw heaps and heaps of vans coming out. Think you can go to the site from the Wednesday before the races. There is a report in - Trip Report/Tin Horse Highway for a bit of a look around the area. So if you are still in Western Australia at the beginning of October we hope to see you there. Heat shouldn't be to bad at that time of year. There are more pictures about the area is you go to our facebook page 'thewanderingslaters' and type in what you are interested in on the left hand side in the search this group feature. Hope to see you Paul and Karen
  20. Loved the report and pictures, you may not have done many km's but you packed enough into it
  21. Goodness what a lot of run around. Hope things work out for you both. People to avoid perhaps
  22. We have also had our Kedron serviced by Harding Swift. They did a great job. We told them we were going rough and asked them to replace things that might be iffy (as we are not mechanically minded). Only 1 bearing needed replacing. Think there was a list started I will try and track it down and pin it to the top for people to find
