  1. Thanks. We got a Telstra 4G Advanced III. We have 12/240v plus 4G antenna point at the dinette so will locate it there. So far have only used it at home and speed is acceptable. 16gb per month looks like a challenge though. Cheers, GnA
  2. Thanks John, This looks a better option than the RV WIFI modem because it appears to be faster. I'm a little confused about whether the 4G Advanced ii is the latest model. There is a 4G Advanced iii but even this is several years old. Would be a piece of cake setting this up because we already have an FME connector and USB ports over the dinette table. We should be able to share our existing data which is 15gB/month. Cheers, Graeme
  3. Hi Merv, Thanks for your input. We have an external antenna and a phone cradle but it's on the tug, so not much use for internet in the van. There is a 4G antenna on the van, but tricky connecting the phone to it. May just be that a mobile router is a better option. I can fund the prepaid plan by reducing the data allowance on the iPhone. RV WiFi looks promising http://www.rvwifi.com.au/. Cheers, Graeme (n Anne)
  4. We are thinking that using our i-Phone 6s as an internet hotspot is the best way to go, but is it? We have a 4G antenna on the van. What are other members experiences? What are your recommendations?
  5. Looks all good now - I have been able to access where I wasn't able to before. Thank you LeaA.
  6. Hi Karen S., We are still unable to access the Financial Members Access Areas. Can see the topics listed eg Gatherings & Trip Forums, when I click on this & it shows 5 topics. When a topic is clicked on the following error message comes up: "! Sorry There Is A Problem But here are the benefits of becoming a financial member....." etc. It finishes with "Error code 2F173/H" Hoping this can be sorted soon - it has been this way for 2 weeks.
  7. We agree - the attention to detail and lack of quality control was a disappointment for us too, considering the reputation and price. Communication has been difficult.. Yes most vans have 'teething' issues but we have been shocked when chatting with other Kedron owners in the month following our pick-up at the amount of issues encountered, and severity of some. Maybe we were just unlucky to have come across these people, but their honesty was commendable. All, but one, still really liked their Kedron van but there is disappointment out there. We had not heard any of this before. Some of our issues were fixed, not all to satisfaction - we don't think we are overly fussy, just customers that expect quality workmanship when it is paid for. February 2017 will be our 3rd trip back in 3 months to Kedron from NSW for repairs. I have tackled some repairs myself - like gluing the ensuite basin down. Other issues - a leaking water tank (twice! the second time because the water level indicator had been installed sideways), the cupboard doors on one side of the van have been put on upside down, a sagging step, and initial problems with the anti-sway bar placement. Our 'final' plan was altered after us signing-off resulting in a change we have to live with now. We are hoping the next visit will fix all the remaining issues and we can get on with fully enjoying our Kedron - which we do love.
  8. Thankyou for the welcome messages. TonyH - profile updated. We are still unable to access financial members section of the site. A message comes up saying we need to be financial members (the date of our receipt is 12/12/2016) - do we need to do something else?
  9. Hi - we are Graeme & Anne & we picked up our 20' XC3 at the end of October 2016. We gave it a good shake-down trip & learnt lots. We travelled to Noosa, Rainbow Beach, west to Toompine before coming back along the NSW/QLD border & back into QLD via the Lions Road, returning to Brisbane for some issues to be fixed. Our first flat tyre was at Eulo (unrepairable) in 37 deg weather. Lucky it was on the side where the awning was! From Brisbane we travelled south for 1 night, back to Kedron, then south again via Evans Head, Mullumbimby & Gloucester. We did a mix of caravan parks & free camps. We reluctantly put our new friend into a storage yard (that we are not comfortable with) & she will come out again to go to Tamworth in mid-January. We visit her often :-)
