Hi Jim Over the past 10 years or so I have had considerable auto electrical work done by Springers, firstly on my old 100 series and now on my 200 series, and our Kedron. I left the 200 series Landcruser batteries in their original positions. Springers installed a deep cycle battery in the cargo compartment just in front of the fridge slide. They also installed the battery isolator and a heavy duty Anderson plug and associated wiring back to the Kedron and to a DC to DC charger. We all fit out things differently, so just go and talk to them about what you want. I'm not associated with them. They do good work and I'm happy with that. Cheers Peter

Hi Jim i would recommend you talk to Springers Electrical at Lawnton, they are 12 volt specialists. Just explain what you want to achieve and I'm sure they will help you out. Cheers Peter

Hi there. i presume you are referring to a grease nipple somewhere on the suspension. If so, carefully remove the same one on the other side, then take it to an auto parts shop and ask if they can match it up. If they can, buy a couple of spares. Hope this helps. Peter

Hi John We had an extra panel installed, Kedron did ours and hooked it up the same way Neville is suggesting. Just remember to upgrade the fuse for the panel you piggy back the new one to. Cheers Pete

Yes, very sad news indeed. Margaret and I were in the same convoy of Kedrons in 2013 when we tackled the Great Central Road from Yulara to Leonora. Hi everyone The photos Webby posted yesterday were of our ATV for two, I don't know how to do that. Kedron changed the number plate location back in May as a trial retrofit. The wiring for the new number plate light is taken from the right hand tail light, down through the cavity behind the checker plate, but make sure it comes out to the right of the centre line of the rear of the van (there is an aluminium rib of the frame running vertically down the centre line).. They put a red reflector over the old hole and rivets in the holes where the number plate was. Kedron did a great job and we're very happy with the new number plate location. Cheers Pete

Hi Andy and Di We might be able to help you out here. Our ATV for two has single beds and hence lots of underbed storage. We purchased 2 Black Widow fridge slides and bolted them to the floor of 2 storage compartments; one for the Webber Baby Q and one for our 2KVA Honda. It's easy enough to make up a few brackets etc to hold each in place when travelling. In each situation we can use the Baby Q and the Honda without taking them off the fridge slides if we want, and that certainly is good for the old back. You mentioned the Yamaha 2.4KVA generator. You might be in luck here. We had one of these about 3 years ago, but it was far in excess of what we needed and was just too heavy to manhandle. I made up a slide for it by converting a fridge slide and having a new base made to accommodate the larger footprint on the generator and you could also run the generator on the slde when the slide was fully extended. The slide is for sale at a fraction of what it cost me, it really works well, with only a few millimetres to spare. We live in Brisbane, only 15 or so minutes from the factory. Cheers Peter

Hi Mike Our 1st ATV built in 2003 had solid axles. In addition to items John mentioned, I suggest you check around the spring area where the centre pivot point (idler arm) housing is welded to the chassis rail, check the outer and inner sides of both chassis rails. Ours cracked several times there, starting off with small hairline cracks and then getting bigger. Had it repaired once in Broken Hill and twice at Kedron. Kedron suggested the cracks where a result of torsional loads or twisting of the chassis/ axles when doing sharp turns eg reversing into a tight spot; I tend to think it may have been the design of the chassis and not "beefing up" this critical area to start with. However, Kedron fixed it and all was good. All the best. Peter

Hi Chris We have camped at Marble Bar in 2010, we found a big flat spot near the airport 'terminal'. We camped at Carawine Gorge for a couple of days. There were a few bog holes on the way in. The stoney river bed in the gorge can be quite soft under it. We found that out after 2 raging bulls decided to have a fight just near our Kedron, nearly got bogged doing a hasty exit. The bulls settled down when a couple of old cows came along. From Marble Bar we did an excursion south to an abandend WW2 secret airbase, that was interesting. You can get the details from the pub in Marble Bar. Can't help with the roads/ tracks you intend to take; travel safe thou. Pete
