  1. Hi Alan n Linda, We travelled across the Plenty in June '07 and apart from a small stretch on the Eastern end where the wheel tracks were a little deep and required clearence, the road was suitable for sedans. Providing it has not seen recent rain when u travel there should not be any issues. As for fuel, I believe that Tobermorey is now closed on the border so the next fuel would be Jervios, a little over 400km West of Boulia. Time, well as a guide, we were a little rushed to get back to Brissy and done Alice to Boulia in a day fairly comfortable towing a Builders trailer and the ute loaded up with the race bike etc. Hope this helps
  2. Chris, just measured our mat It is 6m x 2.4m, folded in its carry bag is 500mm x 450mm x 200mm and weighs 5kg
  3. Chris, They are 2 layers of shade cloth with a heavy Duty edging and metal loops sewn in so you can peg them down. Comes complete with carry bag. The weight is'nt too bad. We are using one at the moment under the annexe of the camper trailer and it works really well as dirt and sand falls straight through the matting and at the same time stopping it from coming up through from the under side. Good piece of kit imo.
  4. Roger Thanks for taking the time to help me out....it is all sorted  Graham
  5. Can anyone point me to a website or offer a guide to the specific method of loading Natmap raster maps to oziexplorer. I'm reloading Ozi and Raster maps to a new PC and as it has been a few years since I loaded them, am having problems being able to veiw the maps. I've tried numerous ways of changing Image file name, path and drives. Tried selecting different Map Datum and projection when importing without any success. :helpsmilie: thanks
  6. A big hello to everyone. Well the cat was fed up with being kicked around for the last couple of years with us trying to decide what we wanted, so we have finally signed up for a New Van at the show on the weekend, a 17' Topender no less. due for delivery next April. We have been frequent visitors to this site over the recent past and found the forum an excellent source of information and it certainely helped in making our decision. As with most people we have progressed from a tent to a camper trailer and now the van. We live on the Northside of Brissy so we hope to catch up with one of your "get togethers" down the track. Cheers Graham and Audrey
