  1. I agree with John completely. Terry from T1Lithium at Mannum is wonderful. We put our system of 520 ah in our van, but on reflection 400 ah would be adequate. People come from all over Australia to see him. His phone is 0414 819 826 I have heard good things about iTech batteries but have no direct knowledge.
  2. Welcome Paul and Betty! The Kedron family is warm and friendly, and the vans are second to none. You are making a great decision to get a Kedron van. where do you live (just a general area, not the address)? There might be others nearby who can help guide any decisions.
  3. Well, I am glad to see that you do 😀
  4. I think Anthony was unsure if he had a working login.... And clearly he has!
  5. I am with Tony on the size of the inverter. The beauty of lithium is the ability to use an electric kettle or coffee machine etc. A 1000watt inverter will be very limiting. I love being able to use the electric items while off grid, all powered free by the sun.
  6. We are camping at a campground called Wrights Bay, between Kingston and Robe, South Australia. Right now we are camped with fellow Kedronners Anthony and Keera, who thought they would like to check the place out for a later informal gathering. A nice spot, it’s near the beach and has green grass! And lots in the region to see and do!
  7. Every now and then you find a nice camp. This one has loads of space and great views but absolutely no facilities. Right now we are camped here with only one other van, a motorhome. (I am told it gets busy on public holidays and long weekends...). Based on the shores of Lake Alexandrina, there is a lot of birdlife to see, and fisherpeople seem to come out ea day to try their luck. I think the only fish are carp. the nearest town is Milang, about 40 kms, or Goolwa which is the same distance. Anyway, you can see it is lovely.
  8. Thank you for this John and Jo! Always useful to have this information.
  9. We ARE interested! When you have time, whack it into a suitably padded box and mail it to us. I will PM you our email and contact details. This is very good timing.🤗
  10. Ha, you are right Tony, it is a first world problem for sure. And we will easily survive the loss of TV for a week. Mind you, where we are has ABC and that’s our go to channel anyway. Not sure about Penola, our next destination but I am sure it will be fine too.
  11. So sad. After quite a few years of solid service the sat TV set top box is broken. Sob. We are in Kingston SE, on the SA Limestone Coast and no one has a new one here (it’s a small town). So for this week’s trip we will have to either access whatever can be seen on local reception or do without. Ah well, we are only away for a week....
  12. oh we can organise something later on as well! Except we will be heading North I nearly May....
  13. I will be in touch with Tony separately. Coincidentally, I had been about to make a separate suggestion on this forum about such a gathering. The last time I asked (a few years ago now, admittedly) there was no interest. But I personally know four other Kedrons all near where I live in SA. It would be great to arrange a get together. Tow vehicle

We have friends whose female partner cannot drive the bigger vehicle out shopping. Both admit that many times they have o park some distance away from where they want to go, just to fit a parking spot. Another member of a forum sold their almost new van and car because the vehicle could not be turned around in a parking area on the Great Ocean Road....the last straw, apparently. But if you are a very competent driver who does not mind the difficulties in finding parking, all would be well.
  15. Am not sure of that lookout camp site, or “the old Great Central Road”. But we did like the Giles Breakaways! I am guessing the ridge top spot was at Redbank Gorge? One of our firm favourites.
  16. I would love to hear more about that loop down to the corner. What previous advice had you received about it? Any special notes, or photos? Thanks for sharing this with us!
  17. We too enjoyed the Mereenie Loop and thought it was a great shortcut. But not for a lesser van 😁 where did you camp in the West Macdonnells? And which camps did you stay at on the GCR?
  18. Thanks Barry! a timely reminder that anyone requiring new covers should get in touch with Gemma (details above).
  19. Let's see how this version goes! CHEAP POWERED SITES - Copy.pdf
  20. Now, fellow KOGGERS, I do know that our lovely off-road vans do not often stay at powered camp sites. But for those occasions when it is necessary (in bad weather or because you want power to recharge the batteries etc) it can be handy to have access to reasonably priced power. I have compiled a list of sites around Australia which provide power (and generally also water, toilets and showers) for $15 or less a night. A few sites in my list are slightly more, but I think it’s only three which are more than the $15 cut off fee. i have also placed the list on another forum, Caravaners Forum. if you know of others, let me know.CHEAP POWERED SITES.rtf
  21. You have made a great decision to join the Kedron ‘family’ and you will enjoy travelling in a wonderful van. Let us know which area you live in and perhaps join up with other Kedron owners. chris
  22. A third run is being organised. Hi Members, We are now taking orders for our 3rd run of Custom Light Covers. Please contact me on 0423987478 or gemma@fairlite.com.au to place an order. Hopefully we can collect enough orders for August production... so tell a friend. Thank you in advance.
  23. John and Jo, I also have planning documents for the GCR which includes the URL for permits etc. let me know if you would like them.
