  2. No disrespect to you but.......that’s a shity bit of engineering!
  3. G’day Merv, I have used MyUS a few times and I have also found them to be reliable and efficient. GMpartsonline.net is a good source for parts & Rockauto.com is amazing. I must have a look at my towbar and see what it requires re strengthening Cheers Tony

    Enerdrive dc2dc

G'day Rod, I also have the Enerdrive 40 amp + dc2dc charger it is a great bit of gear. I replaced the original 'lighter' factory fitted wiring with Cross Section (mm2) 33.6 with a 120 amp Anderson Plug. The original cabling was routed along the inside of the A frame/draw bar (NOT inside the draw bar) I ran the new cabling the same way with appropriate convoluted tubing for protection. Your call, if you run the cabling through the draw bar.....but I don't like drilling holes in my draw bar! I also upgraded the wiring from the cranking batteries to the back of the vehicle fitting a matching 120 amp Anderson Plug. These chargers are capable (and do) charge close to 50 amps and you need cabling suitably sized to minimise voltage drop and overheating of the cable. These dc2dc chargers are capable of being a solar controller as well......I left my original solar controller in place so it operates separately to the dc2dc.....giving me a little bit of security if either the dc charger or the solar controller fails I still have the other to maintain charge....hope this is of assistance to you. See cabling sizing chart in attachment. Cheers Tony cable-table-web.pdf
  5. Hi Sue & Ian, WOW that's fantastic......good chance you'll win the travel award. Travel safe & looking forward to seeing you. Tony.
  6. Just ordered three, Gemma @ Fairlite Plastics still requires a few more orders for a production run!
  7. Peter if your picking up your new van in October......maybe you should do a shakedown tour of SE Qld and attend our Christmas gathering at Kilkivan in early November. Cheers.....enjoy your ‘new baby’ Tony
  8. Hi Ian & Sue, Welcome back to KOG, you certainly have been putting some K’s on your new tug traipsing around our beautiful country. It would be great if you could attend the gathering at Kilkivan, it’s only just down the road for you....lol. It promises to be very informative & fun with the theme of ‘Travel Safely.’ Cu Down the road, Tony
  9. G'day, Yes, a brass drift (preferably) or a steel punch.....some hub castings have a two opposite recess's for easier bearing cone removal....& some dont,..... bet you a $ yours doesn't! If you don't, just persevere with the punch just taking 'nibbles' at the cone ....you'll sort it. When you have got the old cone out clean the seat in the hub so the new cone seats properly. Good luck with your project. Cheers & beers Tony PS .........when you buy your new bearings & seals, buy another 'spare set' or if old bearings are OK (one wheel) put inside a sturdy ziplock bag and store safely in the van....Murphy's Law if you have a set you'll never need them when your travelling....don't forget the grease either (High Temp/Extreme pressure)
  10. G'Day Tony, I have been using these aftermarket brake assemblies on my van & also vans that I service for many years with NO trouble from the std magnets. I am aware of the 'off road' magnets but could not justify the added cost. That's my experience anyway.....your call. So important to adjust the brakes correctly (bendix electric) screw adjuster up till wheel locks then back off 'twelve clicks' ! Cheers Tony
  11. Chris, I believe there is a problem with the attachment....its unreadable.😓
  12. Welcome to KOG David & Kerry, You certainly have been giving your new van a good run, trusting it is delivering all that you both expected. The inclusions (of your van) you have briefly described sound great, be great to show it off at Kilkivan......hoping you can make it, promises to be a great gathering. Travel safe, Tony

  17. Hi Andrea & Gary, Welcome to the KOG, we are a group of like minded people who enjoy the use of their Kedron product & caravanning generally. There is lots of information on this site referring to Kedron ownership, should you have a question and can't find the answer you're looking for, don't be afraid to ask! I don't know the area that you're from but if you are from SE Qld we have two gatherings coming up that you would be more than welcome to attend....... even consider coming for a day visit! Looking forward to meeting you guys one day soon. Best wishes & welcome again to the Kedron family! Tony H Kingsley Grove Estate, Goodger - Kingaroy QLD 06 September 2019 Until 08 September 2019 0 KOG Christmas Gathering & AGM - Kilkivan Bush Camp 06 November 2019 Until 10 November 2019
  18. These guys come highly recommended ......if you have trouble in Darwin. Not mobile you have to go to them.
  19. That's beaut.....have seen old loos being used before for this purpose, saves the old back also (you don't have to bend so far) really like the idea of hand cleaner!
  20. For our wedding anniversary I bought a map of the world, put it on the wall. I gave my beloved a dart and said “wherever the dart lands we will holiday for 2 weeks!”. Well, now we are camped out near the skirting board in the laundry for a fortnight....
  21. G’day Terry, Very sorry to hear of your dilemma, I also have a Vitrofrigo...12 years old and trouble free (touch wood)! As unlucky as you are to have two fail on you, your very lucky that you have a Kedron and a quick call to Robyn or Ashley (Kedron service) will have you sorted out in no time. Can I please ask you to update your signature, van model & location details....thanking you!
  22. Not that it really gets that cold for that long in Oz, I add about half litre of kerosene to the heater fuel tank....when I think about it. The additive (kero) it is claimed stops the diesel fuel from ‘waxing’ up which would stop the correct operation of the heater. The kero also supposedly breaks down any condensation & any other nasties the tank. The MOST important thing to remember for correct operation of your heater is replacement of the fuel filter ($5 @ Repco/Supercheap) every 12 months regardless of use! Cheers Tony
