  1. Hi all just a quick note to say we too have had a leak in or Top Ender traced it down to the solar panel wiring. The water leak has blistered and cracked our ceiling which on 2 different occasions David has been asked to repair. It seems that Kedron are unable or unwilling to do this repair so I am left with a water damaged ceiling for ever more. I have been a solar installer for 20 odd years and if I was to run my wires through metal in the way that Kedron do I would lose my BCSE licence! See you on the road someday Adam and Lynda
  2. Hi Reg and Fran We picked up our van on the 30th June last year since then we have been through 5 Dometic air con units with different installers offering different fixes each time. I will be applying a permanent fix when we are next at the factory as a new air command unit will be going in. Hopefully this will fix the problem. We are currently working at the tip with another dometic which is giving us very poor cooling so can,t wait to try a different brand. Re the compressor doing heatig as well this is not the case it has a little electric element to heat with. The other thing I find amazing about Dometic is that they do not carry out any form of servicing on there units simply if it does not work they replace the whole unit. They must get them pretty cheap to able to do this! Hope this helps see you on the road  Adam
  3. Hi Julie We have taken the inside section of the window out and cleaned the screens with Nappisan a couple of times now. Leave the nappisan on for a minute or two a light scrub then rinse with fresh water and your screens will be as good as new. The other advantage of pulling the inner frame out is that you can service the whole unit. Hope this helps  See you on the road regards Adam and Lynda
  4. Hi Grahama I have had two Kaymar rear bars over the years the last one on a 76series cruiser with a 4t topender bar was great had no problems at all with wdh also hayman reece adjustable tow hitch. The standard Toyota bar fell apart literally after 4 months the Kaymar was great would highly recommend them. See you on the road Adam and Lynda
  5. Hi all We were at Dometic in early February in Brisbane in early Feb I bought the "fix" for our Topender with 9 windows total cost $76. It took a couple of hours to install which included servicing all the blinds and napi sanning the fly screens. We have since done alot of bush camping and would probably say it is 95% better though the little buggers do still get in. To order the fix measure from outside the total dimension of you window architrave then call 07 32057599 If anybody knows how to get rid of the last 5% love to know how See you on the road regards Adam and Lynda

    Dust in van

Hi Hermit We have a 2009 topender we have recently travelled the Oodnadatta track as well as lots of dirt through the NT and SA our van took in minimal dust. We took in a little around plumbing penetrations through the floor and really not anywhere else. We have had made external covers fr all the external vents etc though found that we really have not needed to use them very much. We used to tow a Goldstream camper trailor which used to be like yours with much swearing and washing of sheets etc. We find the Kedron is just amazing in comparison. You won't be disappointed if you decide to buy one. Regards Adam
  7. Hi Neils and Cynthia I have a friend with a 2006 3.0lt Nissan. They hve just done a trip from Bendigo to the Cape with a 2t camper trailor. His words were the car is great with no load but rubbsh with the weight on the back ( I have not used his exact words ) he is planning on selling the Nissan and getting the interecooled 6 cylinder Nissan or the turbo 100 series. Hope this helps Adam and Lynda

  12. There are bad apples in all groups I hope this type of action does not restrict access to more places. You have to wonder why the Bushtracker moderator would remove this post from there site.
  13. Hi guys my name is Adam my wife and I ordered our Topender on Tuesday fantastic people to deal with we look forward to meating the boys at the Rosehill showw. My wife and I and our 2 children plan to spend at least 18months to 2 years on the road we cant wait though the thought of a 2.5 year old, an 18 month old and a dog does seem a bit daunting though I know it will be an experience we will never forget  . The reason for this though is how do I now tell the Forum moderators that we have now ordered one so that we can access the members areas. Any help appreciated look forward to seeing you out there.
