  1. My wife and I have cancelled three holidays for 2020 - for obvious reasons. Whilst self-isolated at home - we decided to plan our 2021 holidays. Having no real preferences where to go, we put a dartboard in the kitchen and attached a paper map of Australia. We decided wherever the dart landed, would be the location of next year’s holidays. My wife then threw three darts. It seems that we are spending our holidays behind the fridge next year.

    Lay up cover

I believe NRMA Insurance have this “lay up” option. My sister had it on their van but said it was a bit painful as they had to notify them every time they decided to use the van. This current period of insurance they opted to have it fully covered again.
  3. Welcome to the group. Hoping when all this COVID-19 business is over, we will all be back out in our vans. Keep watching the gathering section, I’m sure there will be some posted for the future, and hopefully you maybe able to attend. Good luck.
  4. We will be watching the responses as our TEAC is terrible, the sound is distorted. Clive

    Ormondo

We too, have the same problem. Look forward to hearing from others to see if there is a way to solve this problem. We thought the water may be coming through the rubber seals. look forward to some replies.
  6. Thank you, sounds great, however we live too far north. We leave the following week for an O/S trip not enough time. If this event is on every year, maybe next year if we have plenty of notice. The pork looks very tempting. Hope you get a good turn up. Cheers
  7. Sounds great, but where is Lostock Dam? Might be interested if it is not too far to travel. The calendar is almost full for March. cheers
  8. All done, hope some good will come from it.
  9. December will be here before you know it. Good luck with your planning and researching. Hope to meet you some time. Safe travels. Sandra and Clive

  16. Hello Anthony, It would be great to see a gathering down south. If it happens, please let us know early, give us plenty of time to plan the journey. I know that some are heading south next year to see the silo art. Good luck. Cheers, Sandra and Clive
  17. Thank you Chris, you have done well. We have stayed in quite a few these sites, especially the WA last year. very much appreciated.
  18. Welcome to the group Andrea and Gary. Looking forward to catching up with you somewhere on the road. Ditto what Tony has said above. Sandra and Clive
  19. Oh no, just my luck. I put a post on the gathering section yesterday. Will just have to do it again later today. I noticed the pages were all over the place. Cheers, Sandra
  20. Have just completed the longest line of Rv’s for a world Guinness record. It was an amazing event with 934 vans and motor homes stretched over 9.3kms. We stayed out overnight on the Barcaldine Isisford road. It was a spectacular sight to see all the campfires and lights. Pity only three Kedron attended. Amazing.

    Longest Line

Are there any Kedrons participating in “The Longest Line of RV’s” being held in Barcaldine 25th, 26th May? We are crazy enough to participate.

    Apple Slice

Try this lovely Apple slice, easy to make with minimal ingredients. If you don't have an oven in your van I'm sure it could be cooked in the Webber. APPLE SLICE Base - 1 pkt vanilla or butter cake mix ( I use the generic brand ones from Woolworths or Coles) 1 cup coconut 125 gms melted butter Filling - 1 410gm tin pie apple Topping - 1 carton light sour cream Cinnamon Mix together Base ingredients and press into a greased 7"x11" tin, cook in a moderate oven for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and spread pie apple over the base, then spread sour cream over the apple and sprinkle with cinnamon. Return to oven and cook for a further 15 minutes. Slice when cold.
  23. We sold our generator last year for similar reasons as Pete has said. The extra room, weight, fuel that it took was not worth it. Even when it is hot we rarely use our air conditioner as it is far too noisy. Love our 12 volt fans. Over the years we have gone back to basic caravanning. Two solar panels, two batteries, 3 way fridge, no washing machine. We probably spend 20 weeks a year travelling, last year was 27weeks. Clive
  24. THE OLDER I GET, THE MORE I HAVE IN COMMON WITH COMPUTERS. WE BOTH START WITH LOTS OF MEMORY AND DRIVE, THEN BECOME OUTDATED, UNEXPECTEDLY, AND EVENTUALLY HAVE TO HAVE OUR PARTS REPLACED!
  25. Welcome to the group, I’m sure you will have many hours of enjoyment with your Keddy, no matter what your tow vehicle is (providing all your tow weights etc are legal). Some of our members tow with Iveco, Mercedes, Isuzu, Nissan, Fords, Chevy etc, personally we tow with a Nissan Y62. Hope to catch up with you somewhere in this great country. Sandra and Clive
