  2. Hi All What are the pros and cons using a WDH with the Class 6 Airsafe? Bryan
  3. Hi John Ordered the SatKing CA 800 before I read your post, it's in and working all good Cheers Bryan
  4. Hi All I have now been advised the Altech UEC vast decoder that was supplied with the system does not have infared remote target capability so I will have to purchase a SatKing CA 800. Thanks for your input I should have is sorted now. Bryan
  5. Hi Tony Thanks for the pics the installation is finished at last and it works. I extended the base of the dish to pickup three (3) roof beams and fastened it with studserts and swags of sikaflex, ran a conduit from the dish to the roof penetration and sealed with sikaflex. Taking David’s advice I used an external electrical box at the roof penetration and pumped it and the conduit inlet full of sikaflex ensuring it encapsulated the cables individually as well as together. I made a shelf tor the Motorsat and now all I need is a Vast HD receiver remote sensor extender, any idea where I can pick on up? Cheers Bryan
  6. Hi Tony One email to the Wholesale RV Equipment Store they told me to contact Donetic two emails to Dometic no reply. I dismantled the hatch used the damaged screen as a pattern purchased Bunning’s mini mesh, made a screen and reassembled. Works better than the original (softer material) I purchased enough mesh to do the door and the total cost $35.00. Beats the hell out of $314.58 Cheers Bryan
  7. G’day All Anyone have one of these systems or know if they operate as well as the supplier states? Bryan
  8. Hi All The blackout and flywire screens on my Dometic Heki 2 rooflight after seven (7) years of use were showing signs of wear. I attempted to purchase the screens only but was advised by the Wholesale RV Equipment Store that I would have to purchase the Dometic Heki 2 - Inner frame, flyscreen & blind in one unit. Accordingly I purchased a Dometic Heki 2 - Inner frame, flyscreen & blind 08/04/2013 and installed it shortly after purchase. The unit has only been used on one trip that lasted three (3) months and the fly screen on this unit has split and the blackout blind is showing signs of wear and I am not happy with the possibility I may have to spend another $314.58. Any suggestions??? Bryan
  9. Hi I am about to install an auto satellite dish and it would be greatly appreciated if anyone that has done this could send me details on how they ran the wires? Pics would be a great help. Regards Bryan
  10. Hi All This is my next project so looking for advice on how you ran the cables thru the roof and mounted the indoor box of course pictures would be a bonus. Thanks Bryan
  11. G’day All The gas struts on our Dometic SEITZ Heki 2 large roof hatch have failed and Dometic have quoted $204 for replacements including the two white plastic caps that cover the bottom retaining pins, two top metal grip caps that cover the top retaining pins and four retaining pins. I contacted the local strut re-gas specialist and he cannot help as the struts only have a 4mm shaft and he cannot source parts. He did say new struts should retail @ $34.00 ea but it was not viable for him due the low number of enquiries and he had to buy 1000 at a time. I don’t mind paying a fair price but hate being ripped off, so I am looking for advice from anyone else that has been in the same situation. Cheers Bryan
  12. Hi all The generator problem has been rectified at last. Genquip finally came up with the fix, the exhaust is fitted with a spark arrester and it was blocked with soot. I must say they were willing to ship a replacement to cairns if the removal of the spark arrester didn’t work. End result I now have a Honda EU10i, a Honda EU20i and a Genquip 3300 definitely well charged, but poorer for the experience. Bryan
  13. Hi All The sealing of the joints in the box work but the Genquip 3300 electric start we purchased in April 2013 has not been a great success, we arrived at the Roper River (Tomato Island) 19th June and fired up the Genquip, all went well until the 28th July when the darn thing died. It would start but ran rough and would not rev up I rang Genquip discussed the problem with them and the result without hesitation or proof of purchase they have forwarded a new carby to Mataranka (still has not arrived held up in Kathrine that’s Aust post). In the meantime to operate the 240v appliances I have purchased a Honda EU 10i so it has been a costly exercise wish I had continued using the Honda EU20i which is sitting in the shed at home. For what this exercise has cost I could have bought a Honda or a Yamaha with a greater output than the Honda EU20i and not had the hassle. Bryan
  14. Hi All Thanks for the tips I will seal all the metal joints and look for a vent. Off to the Roper in pursuit of Barra in about 3 weeks so all needs to be right. Thanks Bryan
  15. Hi Rod & Mavis I have purchased a Genquip 3300 and put it in the box the Honda lived in but unfortunately the filler cap vent does not close like the Honda and there is a smell of petrol in the box. How have you overcome this problem? Cheers Bryan

  19. Hi Robert The files opened and I have noted the torque error. We live in Geelong and Roger (MADOG) located a company in Laverton that are able to carry out the alignment. If not then it's a short drive to see Vehicle Components. Thanks for the help. Cheers Bryan

  21. Hi Bocar This site may be of interest to you. I have the fully remote on my 100 series and it’s so easy. Cheers Bryan />http://www.customboatloaders.com.au/models.php
  22. Hi Dunmowin I purchased a Firestone Coil-Rite Kit Rear and a Firestone Level Command 11 system for our 100 Series from the USA. The cost May 2010 was $419.05 USD delivered, this was cheaper than I could buy the airbags only in Aus. They work fine no problems />http://www.truckspring.com/suspension-parts/helper-springs/air-spring-kits/firestone.aspx?make=Nissan&year=2003&model=Patrol />http://www.truckspring.com/products/Firestone-Level-Command-II-Air-Compressor-System---Single-Gauge__FIR2158.aspx Cheers Bryan
  23. Hi Sue My guess is you need to replace the batteries. We had a similar problem and all my attempts to overcome it without replacing the batteries failed. The solution, I gave the battery man $950.00 and replaced the batteries. Bryan
  24. Hi Tom & June We have one (not for sale) and love it. I see you have had one before, can’t imagine why you sold it. Cheers Bryan and Erna
  25. Hi Jaygee You had me worried when you said “the 3.5t hitch is actually only rated at 3.0t offroad” I checked with Hitchmaster and they advised me the DO35 is rated at 3.5T. Cheers Bryan
