Hi to all - we are in the process of planning our first trip and would appreciate any helpful hints. We are aware that we will need to check on road conditions closer to our start date. We intend travelling from Torquay Victoria to Broken Hill then onto Mt Isa via Tibooburra, Innamincka and Birdsville. The dates we are considering are around mid July (after school holidays) if the road is not ok we will then try early September on our way back from NT.

Thanks Jeanette & Glynn

Hello Glynn & Jeanette,

Welcome to the wonderful world of Kedron. We are new KOGers and have a newly acquired (Oct last year) TE. So far we have travelled about 12,000 k and its been just great. Can't help much with trip infor as you live in the dark state. But, the sooner you get to Queensland the better it will be!

Welcome, good luck and we wish you many safe kilometers in the TE.

Regards

Colin & Gayleen

Glynn and Jeanette,

Welcome to KOG and you will definately be made welcome as we have members all over this great country who can help out with local advice.

Have a safe trip when you set out. I put some information on one of the entries the other day that had links to all states road reports.

Safe travels, if your near Toowoomba on your way around we have plenty of room in the front paddock to rest your wheels.

cheers

Thanks for your warm welcome Colin & Gayleen. We are retiring from the Sunshine Coast - Pelican Waters after 16 memorable years here to relocate to Torquay, Victoria to spend more time with our children and granchildren. We will be heading your way eventually as we have not seen enough of northern Queensland.

Look forward to meeting on the road

Hi Laurie & Helen

We passed your way the other day on our return from Victoria with our new 200 series Landcruiser. We currently live on the Sunshine Coast and will be heading to Torquay once our business is sold - at this stage on the 21st May.

We read the information posted on the states road reports thanks - looks like maybe this will not be our first trip - it appears not only the water issue but the damage to the roads. We will wait till closer to our departure before making our decision. Hopefully someone else may have just travelled on the roads and will be able to update us.

Many thanks for your warm welcome and hopefully we will catch up in our travels.

Jeanette & Glynn
