I am very glad it wasn't, particularly how the front of the van looks now (sand blasted down low) after doing the Birdsville and Oodnadatta Tracks and the Cape. I think it will depend where you want to take the van. At least with the silver some good elbow grease and a top polish helps it to keep looking good.
