How to become a Kedron Owners Group Inc. Member

 

The Kedron Owners Group Inc. has four types of membership -

1.  Ordinary Member

An Ordinary Member owns a Kedron Caravan.

Benefits of becoming an Ordinary Member are -

(a) attend and participate in all activities (gatherings) of the Group

(b) attend, speak at, move motions and vote at all general meetings;

(c) vote on any motion put to Members for resolution by mail or other means determined by the Management Committee;

(d) stand for election, hold office (if elected) or nominate a Member for election;

(e) receive a copy of any publication the Group may publish;

(f) have access to the members sections of the Group website;

(g) obtain a membership name badge together with a membership number;

(h) any other services or products provided by the Group to its Members; and

(i) a Member has the right to appeal disciplinary action invoked on the Member by the Member Committee in accordance with Clause 11 of the Constitution.   

2. Associate Member

An Associate Member has paid a deposit to Kedron Caravans Pty Ltd for a Kedron Caravan but has not yet taken delivery.  An Associate Member may take part in the activities (gatherings) of the Group, but are not permitted to vote, hold office or nominate a person to hold office.  When applying for membership, an Associate Member must attach a copy of their van layout to their application.  This layout should display their name/s at the top left (as supplied by Kedron Caravans Pty Ltd).  Associate Members also have access to the members sections of the Group website.

3.  Honorary Member - an Ordinary Member who has attended a specified number of trips determined by the Management Committee.  An Honorary Member must be approved by the Management Committee and need not own a Kedron caravan.

An Honorary Member must:

  • have owned a Kedron and been a member of the Kedron Owners Group for a minimum of 3 years and attended 6 registered gatherings as at the 22 January 2011

  • have owned a Kedron and been a member of the Kedron Owners Group for a minimum of 4 years and attended 8 registered gatherings as at the 1 July 2011

  • have owned a Kedron and been a member of the Kedron Owners Group for a minimum of 5 years and attended 10 registered gatherings as at the 1 July 2012

4.  Honorary Life Member - a person or family unit who in the opinion of the Management Committee has rendered outstanding service or assistance in fostering the Group. An Honorary Life Member need not own a Kedron caravan. 

 

Membership Fees

Current Membership Fees (for each Family Unit*):    Once only Joining Fee - $15       Full Year Membership Fee - $25

"family unit" means two members who are husband and wife or two partners who live in a domestic relationship analogous to that of a husband and wife and who have a common one address, and who have the one membership number and includes their dependants who are under the age of eighteen years of age.

Match themonth you wish your membership to commence with the corresponding membership fee.  The Joining Fee applies to all new memberships and is a once only fee.

Example: Joining in Jan will be $15 Joining Fee plus $17 Membership

Note:  All memberships will renew on 1 September each year.  No portion of unused Membership Fees will be refunded.  Any continuing memberships not renewed by 31 October each year will incur a new Joining Fee ($15).

Public Liability Insurance

All financial members are covered under the Kedron Owners Group Inc Public Liability Insurance.  Ordinary Members and Associate Members are financial once a membership fee has been paid and a receipt (displaying period of membership) and membership card (displaying membership number) has been issued.

It is our legal responsibility under the Rules of Incorporate through the Office of Fair Trading to notify potential members of the level of coverage of our Public Liability (Refer Policy No. 132A017257COM below for full details)
