  1. Hello Pepper, I can assure you that you won't have an issue with Kedron. I reason I say this is because Kedron replaced our air cond while in Broome (No charge) when the van was 4 years out of warranty. I had a leaky sink tap while in Lawn Hill and Kedron sent us a new one ........No charge and the van is 6 years out of warranty. I broke the neck off my diesel heater tank (My fault) and they sent me a new tank ........ you guessed it .......no charge. I broke the flap of the outside power point and .............yes .............. Kedron sent me a new power point to Alice Springs ........... No charge. We met a couple on the Birdsville Track who had just purchased a 10 year old ATV from a private sale and travelled with them to Lawn Hill and along the way the rocks from the road smashed the plumbing couplings and he could not buy new ones easily, so I told him to give Kedron a call ........... and guess what........... they sent him new ones .........No Charge. They where in total disbelief. Pepper, I have never dealt with a company like them. They just want you to enjoy their product and go out of their way to "Do the right thing" ............ very rare these days.

  2. Pepper, from my experience, KEDRON are very good at honouring their commitments. But I am sure if you wanted something more concrete they would provide it. It is my view this would be a reasonable request. i note your membership details ( which show on the left hand side of the screen) say you currently have a XC, but you post that you are thinking of buying a van from Kedron. Do you currently have a van as shown in your registration details?

Has any one got a written copy of the eartenty they could share ?? Thankyou Pepper

  4. Hi Pepper From our personal experience, I have dealt with the Gall Boys at Kedron for about 16 or so years now, and will continue to do so. In a couple of instances I have offered to pay for fixing some little things that we have 'buggered up' and they have refused to accept my money. They are just great guys to deal with. However, as with any business we deal with in the the long term, we have forged a good, friendly working relationship with them. I'm quite sure many of Kedron's customers have done the same. So, I agree with what others have said in response to your question. Cheers Peter

  6. Hello Pepper and welcome to the forum, We have owned two pre loved Kedron vans, one bought from them and the other a private sale. We have never had a problem with Kedron, they are a very fair company to deal with. The old pop top was ten years old and they did a couple of jobs FOC because as they said, that is warranty work. cheers

  7. Gday Jaap.. we have a 22 ft internal and have had no real problems. Main thing we do in national parks/free camps is park and walk in and have a look around. We have seen a lot of people just tear in and find not enough room to park or turn around.. It can then get very frustrating especially late in the day.. cheers danny

  8. We are due to pick up the van in 48 hours. Kedron have advised they will not provide warrenty details in writing ,hence the enquiry..

  9. I guess it all boils down to whether you want to be legal or not. Insurance could be a problem if something serious happened. By the way the hitch is rated to 5500 kgs and ball weight of 545 kgs. End of the day we love the Chev and what it does for us. Lets face it if we all liked the same thing it would be a boring old world. The good thing about Aus (at the moment) is we do have a choice. Doug and Lis

  10. Hello, I did write on this thread some time ago that I would give a "warts and all" review at the conclusion of our first Silverado trip. We are now home. 6,500 km was the distance we travelled with the van attached. We had our issues in Wellington that turned out to be less than first thought. Thank goodness. In driving comfort and towing capability there is absolutely NO comparison. It's Tiger Moth to F18 comparison remembering my Tiger Moth was a 2005 issue 100 Series 4.2 TD, manual transmission. Economy? The Chev is marginally more economical that the Tiger Moth. Typically 20.5 L per 100 in the Chev compared to 23 L/100 in the Tiger Moth. Vehicle Management. The Chev is a modern vehicle with all the computers and environmental characteristics. As such it is a more involved management issue than the LC. But all modern vehicles are the same. Size? A little bigger than the LC but now the LC seems cramped. I drove the LC today. Parking? Not an issue. I have not had a problem to date and that include shopping mall car parks in Brisbane. So, that is about it. There is NO WAY that I would revert to towing my Top Ender with a LC, be it a 200 series or whatever. Dirt roads. Have not been there extensively yet. So, no comment. The little I have done did not cause any alarms. So, there you go. Regards Colin
