I would like to thank you for your mammoth effort in a job well done. You will be missed. We will always in touch. We are currently in Yungngora in the Kimberley WA but are about to head back to Maningrida in Arnhem Land in 2 weeks for a 5 week stint before heading back to Kalumburu in the Kimberley again for 5-6 weeks. Hi Macca, We experienced the same issue and were told the same thing as you. So we replaced the inlet and had no change in result. We just put up with it now S & K

I would like to thank Tony, and the committee members for a great weekend. I have no doubt it took a huge amount of planning, but the result was certainly worth it. Yes Chris, Some scenes were of complete devastation with contents of top cupboards on the floor, microwave ovens. stoves, fridges all sitting in the walkways......... but the worst were when fridge doors came open and all the contents would fall out and combined in the isle. I cannot tell the amount of paper towel and spray & wipe we sold at the store.

Hi Terry, You seem to be having the same luck with your fridges as I had with Toyota's, however as much as it saddens me to have to agree with Tony, as we also have a 230l Vitrofrigo which is 9 years old and has spent its whole life in either the Kimberly or NT and as Tony says it has been "trouble free (touch wood)"! I guess that, like me and Toyota's, you are one of those "special" people with Vitrofrigo. I feel your frustration.

We have just noticed the picture of the Beagle Bay church on the web page header. It has brought back so many memories as we lived in the old white house directly across the road from it for 18 months while we managed the store. What a magical place, truly wonderful people and an experience of a lifetime. I still remember the painful screams of many various caravaner's as they open the doors of their vans and see the devastation inside caused from that wonderful road to Beagle Bay. I also remember the warm feeling I got from owning a Kedron, which traveled that same road probably 20 times and experience no damage............... Poor people cannot afford to crap has always been my motto of life.

Hello David & Liz, I suggest you have a good think about the V6 Amarok as I have done a lot of research on this vehicle. After many lengthy discussions with VW and its dealers, It seems that you void your warranty if you fit an electric brake controller to the vehicle and you cannot use Weight Distribution bars, as it can twist the chassis. By all means, do your own research........... don't take the salesman "word " on it

We have a 3 kg front loader in our van which was put in at new (8 years ago). We lived in the van for the last 7 years for our "Working Holiday" and it has done a mountain of work and it just keeps going. We have used it exclusively for all our washing over the 7 years. It is one of the best thing we put in the van................diesel heater rates right up there too.

Hi Jaap, I have had my GMC for 6 years now and we have been on the road full time. I would have to say that after a week of driving it, it feels like any other vehicle in regards to bulk. The surprising thing for me when I first purchased it, is that it is only 38mm wider than my patrol. As for the turning circle, ............. yes it is slightly bigger, however it is not extreme compared to the F trucks. In regards to caravan parks, I have always requested a larger site because of the van and I can honestly say I have not had an issue to date. In the six years we have covered just about all types of road conditions as we worked very remotely in Aboriginal communities and have not had any issues. I have never had an issue getting parts come service time either. All the filters are AC Delco which I have found to be a lot cheaper then the Cruiser and Patrol filters. I have found that most Holden dealers stock anything I have required. Oddly enough, I have had many discussions with travellers complaining how hard it is to get parts for main line 4x4's once they leave the cities as nobody seems to keep stock any more. For me, The GMC has been an excellent vehicle for the purpose for which it was purchased. It is an excellent tow vehicle and its 4x4 capabilities has been very surprisingly impressive. Hi Guys, If you do happen to travel the Oodnadatta Track, There is a caravan park at Leigh Ck which is Ok and the pub has a great feed too. There is also another van park about 5 kms past Leigh Ck called Copley. It too has a van park and the pub there has a fantastic (country pub) feed and there is a good pie shop there too and is famous for their Quondong pies. I would recommend staying here over Leigh Ck. Make sure you plan a night at Farina Station. It is only about 70kms from Copley and there is 28 kms of dirt starting from Lyndhurst. There is not a lot to see around Lyndhurst. (Lyndhurst is actually in the middle of Farina Station). Faria Stn would be one of the best camping areas is SA Outback Donkey showers and flushing loos and grassed camp sites. If you don't have timber, you can buy sleepers from the owners Once at Farina Stn head to the camp ground and set up as to can walk to all the sites of interest (the ruins, cemetery,old railway bridge). The owners are Kevin and Anne Dawes …………… say G'day if you see them as they are really great people. You may even find that the bakery is open. If it is, it has the best cream buns in the world. The next stop to think about is Coward Springs is a great overnight stop or you can detour at Maree and head out to Mulcoorina Station. It is a beautiful spot but you will have to backtrack (but worth it if time permits). Turn right about 2kms west of Maree and travel 50 kms (all good dirt roads) It is beautiful. It has a large waterway and plenty of bird life. When you get there you will come to the small toilet block, look to your right and you will see a single date palm in the distance. Just past there is a beautiful camp spot at the very end of the road and has plenty of room to turn the van around. You have to take your own wood for the fire. You will have to back track for this spot too. The next spot along the Oodnadatta track is Coward Springs …………….. a must. It has a thermal bore pool and is wonderful. You can have fires there also On the way to William Creek there are a few things to see along the way if you choose.William Creek Hotel is a must for lunch and then onto Oodnadatta. Oodnadatta to the hwy is the Painted desert and it is spectacular. We also lived in Alice Springs and travelled it extensively and know of a lot of beautiful locations that are "not so well known" and very worthy of a visit. Hello Liz and Graham, Welcome to the KOG. To be honest, I am not that familiar with the CP5, but I am positive you will not notice too much of a difference from the previous trailer in regards to towing. The 100 series should do it with ease. The boys at Kedron definantly know how to set a van up for towing and they will make sure everything is perfect before they send you on your way. As for the 'intelligent questions', I wouldn't worry to much about it. Looking back to when we bought ours................we were first time van buyers and i know we asked a lot of dumb questions and the guys were more than helpful. If you have a question or a concern.................just ask regardless. Hell, .......if you have watched any of their DVD's you will soon realise that they are not that intelligent themselves at certain times. Good luck with it all

Hello All, Kerry and I are going to Cania Gorge and Carnarvon Gorge in early September for a 2 week short trip (From Hervey Bay). We are considering coming home via Augathella, St George, Cunnamulla, Toowoomba etc. So I would like to know if: There is anything interesting to see in theses towns Is there any decent free camps that you could recommend Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
