  3. Hi All We have the normal 230 vitrifrigo fridge in our T/E, I have put a Remote temp sender (engel brand) inside to try to keep an eye on temp. We Have been losing food due to the fridge not being cold enough. On hot days the inside of the van can get really hot and then so does the fridge. Should I be turning up the thermostat to combat this ??? We currently run the fridge on about 4.. I have defrosted the fridge a couple of times and have been shown how to check for ice.. the warmer the weather is the warmer the fridge is...I have a sixty year old fridge which I have had for 25 years it has always lived in the shed and has always kept the beer cold, I dont even know where the thermostat is !!!! Does anyone have a solution ??? PLEASE Cheers Phil

Hi There Does anyone else have problems with sound from the tv?? we have had the sound drop out both on satellite and with dvd's, we unplugged the 12 volt lead and plugged in the 240 lead and have not had an issue yet. has anybody had the same issue ??? except for Pete N Margie because we are in the same park as them in lovely Wapole Cheers Phil
  11. Hi Reg I had a 80 series cruiser a few years ago. it had a 1HZ engine with a non factory turbo, intercooler and diesel gas conversion, it was money well spent the power increase was excellent. the motor couldn't cool itself as it wasn't designed for so much fuel. I replaced the motor with a 1HDT factory turbo and added gas and it was incredible, power, torque. the only down side was losing a fuel tank to fit a gas tank but I had a 250lt tank fitted in place of main tank.the other down side was finding a petrol station with diesel and gas pumps next to each other.you will not be disappointed with the conversion. Cheers Phil
  12. Hi Petenmargie I think the accumulators are Shurflo I got them from Camec $80 each. realy easy to install, sort of.. If you can contort your self inside out..i do not have any photos yet but will endeavor to. plumbing them is easy the just connect between the pump and taps (fittings). the insulation is just an r2.5 polyester batt. must be available from insulation shop or Gyprock shop..I dont think mouting them on a rubber block is going to help..if you can not find batts try thick towels , I have jamed the insulation in very tight. where are your pumps mounted ? cheers Phil
  13. Hi John my pumps are mounted in a tiny little cupboard under the washing machine. Cheers Phil
  14. hHi Petenmarge I have since fitted accumulation tanks to both pressure systems, this was a little better but I have fitted a polyester insulation batt (lots of pieces actually) under and all around the pumps and this has reduced the noise incredibly. I had the a/c on the other day and had to get on my knees to here the pump, it is that quiet.. you have to put the insulation under the pump...very happy cheers Phil
  15. Hi Rick What does the warning light warn you of ?? What was wrong with the fridge cheers Phil

  17. Hi Jaygee I have fitted the 6 tonne Mc Hitch to our TE and feel safer knowing it's rated higher than the standard hitch. I prefer to be over cautious Cheers Phil
  18. Hi All I am trying to cut down the amount of noise my shurflow pumps make,,,,I am an early riser and the better half likes to sleep in,, that is until I brush my teeth or fill the kettle. I have just fitted acumalator tanks to both pumps and while this has helped they are still noisey. I have filled the little cupboard that houses the pumps with insulation but to no avail.. Does anyone use different pumps or have a magic wand ??? Cheers Phil

  23. Hi Bryan I am actually going to copy your idea of the swing out wheel carrier. I have bought the arms and am waiting for the spare time (i wish) to start. I am hoping to be able to put a small box between the wheels when done. Do you have any more photo's of yours? would like to see it I am also adding another water tank to rear of van. Cheers Phil
