I had a wheel wearing really bad on the van after getting a wheel alignment in Brisbane before we left for The Cape in 2015.
I found this place on google and Justin Bench did a great job . And only $55 .

Hi 32 Kev ,
We also live in our van and have 4 x 120ah batteries and 660 watts of soar . Yes they do have so many cycles , the less you drain everyday the longer they last .

Hi 32 Kev,
You should be getting 5 years or more from your batteries . With AGM you need to keep them above 12.2 volts . When they get down to 12.2 volts you have used 50% of there power . AGM are designed to work down to 12.2 volts and then recharge to about 13.8 volts .

Have a read before thinking about buying a tow vehicle

Hi'
I spoke to the guy with the snorkles , if you look at the fitting instructions the air box is different to my 2012.
The snorkel looks like it fits the profile of body (guard) , you would have to do your own plumbing under the bonnet .
That would be a very big job , if it works.

What a great time , left home (Brisbane) and travelled to Old Bar , Sydney, Bendeela Reserve Gathering and home via the Putty Road and New England Highway.
The Silverado was fantastic , to Old Bar set cruise on speed limit and set back and relax . Old Bar to Bendeela a bit slower as we were in a convoy of 3 Kedrons.
Bendeela to home set cruise on speed limit , we averaged 20.2 litres per 100ks for the whole trip.
The hills , what hills .
Down hills the exhaust brakes are magic .
The 200 series Cruiser was a great vehicle , travelled over 60,000 ks towing the van.
The Silverado is just so much better all round tug.
I purchased the Silverado second hand ,2012 model with 60,000 ks on the clock.
First thing I did after towing a Topender for 650 ks was change the rear shocks to stop the rear from bouncing along the road (the way the yanks like it). The only way to stop the rear from bouncing when towing the Topender was 30 psi in the bags. I can adjust the bag pressure from in the cab.The vehicle already had airbags fitted . I have to wonder why fit air bags when the problem is with the shocks . The shocks on the vehicle are not heavy duty enough.
On this trip I played around with pressure and 10 psi worked for me, any lower not good for the bags I believe .
Next change front shocks . Don't buy shocks from the USA , they maybe not heavy duty enough .

Hi All,
When I drove my 2012 Silverado that purchased about 5mths ago I found the same sort of problem . I found that about 30 psi in the bags helped . The biggest difference was when I put better shockies on the rear .

I had same problem and I would turn the fridge off for 30 seconds every month, this worked until 5 days ago , woke up in morning and 14c .
We had problems from the start , fridge whisper twice . He tells us working fine , yes it works for about a month.
I believe this RPD 215 are not made to use continuously . I know of other vans with same problem .
Best fix take it to the dump where they should all be and buy a RPD218 which is made for our climate.
All you need to do is cut the opening 20mm higher.

I tried buying , the only way to replace them is buy a complete lock , or buy thin rubber and make your own or silicon .

Hi Jim,
When I had my 200 series for 5 years .......I could leave my Engel on freezer plugged in from 3pm until 9am running of the standard batteries .
When I parked up for longer periods , I would plug the Engel into the van via the Anderson plug .

When you put the screws back , don't tighten the top or bottom screws to tight or the blind
/screen will become tight to roll.

Hi Colin,
I was talking to Greg Brown a couple of days ago about filters.
Greg has looked into it and can only find a system that fits after the factory filter .
I would not see to much benefit in a filter after factory one .

Hi Brian
Have a look in Hints, Tips and products. (caravan mods)
I found that the Kedron stone guard is to narrow and short as well as been to vertical.
If you fit a stone stopper to the Kedron stone guard ,you will still have stones hammer the front edges of your van.
I made my own stone guard.

Hi Tony ,
I fitted my RDA rotors and bendix 4x4 pads about a week ago .
I find that they are far better then the factory setup.
If your pedal feels better after you your second fluid change , maybe you had air in the line after the first time.

Hi Reece,
Mix equal parts of bicarb and icing sugar (teaspoon) , add water to make paste.
Put in a place where the ants can eat it without been disturbed.

David ,
Do you own a Kedron ?

I joined about the same time as Col and find that it is interesting to see what other caravaners are doing.
There is 6 Kedron owners I know have joined.

Replacement diesel heater fuel tank cap
in Public Forum
Posted
When my fuel tank cracked ( 3 years old ) around the fitting hole , I thought this was a design fault . I went to Dometic at Brendale with proof of purchase ( caravan purchase details receipt ) and they gave me the updated model tank . They said they had problems with the caps as well .
