  1. Hi Brian Have a look in Hints, Tips and products. (caravan mods) I found that the Kedron stone guard is to narrow and short as well as been to vertical. If you fit a stone stopper to the Kedron stone guard ,you will still have stones hammer the front edges of your van. I made my own stone guard. Nev
  2. Hi Tony , You went to the same mechanical school that I went to . Nev
  3. Hi Tony , I fitted my RDA rotors and bendix 4x4 pads about a week ago . I find that they are far better then the factory setup. If your pedal feels better after you your second fluid change , maybe you had air in the line after the first time. Nev
  4. Hi Reece, Mix equal parts of bicarb and icing sugar (teaspoon) , add water to make paste. Put in a place where the ants can eat it without been disturbed. Nev

  8. Fuel pump I checked my pump , just go to the chemist and buy a 5mm syringe to measure your fuel . page 25. Cheers Nev
  9. Hi Kogers, I have done a lot of research into the diesel heater . I pulled mine out after it started to smoke on start up and found that the problem was the breather hole near the glow plug was starting to block up , just like in a combustion engine when you stop the air flow they smoke from to much fuel . I also found that after doing the corner country trip this year without the air intake blocked ( to stop the diesel heater getting dust in) when I pulled it apart , no dust . I will not be going to the trouble to block mine anymore . To service your heater all you need to buy is a gasket seal the 3rd on the parts list . There is no need for a special tool to pull your glow plug ( glow pin ) out , just pull the unit apart and then a 12 m spanner will do the job . With the unit striped down a piece of wire to clean the hole that is just at the top of the screen as show on page 28 of the service book . I have attached a service book ( I hope ) airtronic service book.pdf With the unit out of the van you can have it cleaned and back together in 30 minutes . Cheers Nev
  10. Hi Col Take a trip to WA and stay at a caravan park and get your van rego in WA. Residential address is caravan park and postal address in QLD ( the state that wins 8 in a row) . WA has no yearly inspections for 4 ton vans. Nev

  17. Hi GraemeY, I was about to start that mod to my van , most people travel during winter it should be a standard fit out with a heater. I know they do with the ensuite vans. I have the same lay out as you. Where did you acquire the fittings ? Dometic parts or other. Thanks Nev
  18. Hi Pete, You can purchase just the glass ( plastic) . If it is not letting the wet or dust in I would leave it till you get to a larger town /city. To remove old window , open to max and grab hold of strut near window latch and pull down while holding window, the strut will pop off. Repeat for other strut and then open window as far as you can and it will drop out of the hinge ( where it is attached to frame). I hope this helps. Nev
