  1. Hi Colin We too would love to join you on this adventure. We planned to do a similar trip in 2013 but was I was not keen doing it solo. We are new to the game and have only done a few trips locally. You mentioned your pets in one of the threads. We would also have our small dog with us. We recently picked up our new TE in Sept 2012 and our tow vehicle is a 2012 LC. We also have it equipped with a number of radios including a codan. Do I need to message you off the forum for further details? Greg and Cathy Brown
  2. Hi to all and thank you to the webmaster for moving the post. On our first outing we were very surprised at how well our Tibby behaved. She did not bark or misbehave at all. Took her out for lots of walks and I think she put her 'wee' mark on just about every inch of the park. I made sure that I was equipped with the poo bags for clean up as well. We are hoping to do another test run next weekend and then intend to go to Hervey Bay for a week in mid October. I think that will determine whether we will be able to take her on longer trips. I did get a suggestion that if we wanted to do a day trip and did not want to leave her in the van, we could maybe use a doggy day care service. Not too sure just how many of these would be around. Don't want to sound to obsessed about a pet, but need to plan these things out so we all enjoy our holidays. Russ - will have to get back to you on the clean up details if we leave her while we go out, but I can say that she slept inside the van for the 2 nights on our first trip and did not do anything till I took her out at about 6am in the morning so it was a good 9 hrs before she needed to toilet. Oh and I need to work out how to amend our details now that we have taken delivery of the TE!! Thanks Cathy and Greg
  3. Hi to all We are new Top Ender owners having just taken delivery on 10 Sept, and also new to caravaning. Just wondering if we could get some advice about traveling with pets. Last weekend we did a shakedown trip and took our Tibetan spaniel along with us. We have all the necessary gear to keep her restrained while away and she behaved very well but what do you do if you want to go out for lunch or sightseeing etc? A few days at a time is not a problem but longer trips might be. Would really appreciate advice from those who have experience in this matter. Thanks Cathy & Greg
