  1. Hi Steve and Kez We travelled from Birdsville to Mt Isa via the Eyre Development Road and Diamantina Developmental Way June 2014 . The road was in very good condition. Most of the road is sealed. You should no problems. Warm Regards John and Tina Enjoy the trip
  2. Tom has since retired. I am sure the excellent work in the Kedron service department will continue for many years to come.

  4. Hi Taka we were in Broome a month ago. Did not do the Tanami ourselves however spoke to a couple with 13 year old Bushtracker who had some issues with a broken spring and micro way falling from its perch. He informed me that he should have changed his springs before he left home but ran out of time. A mate of mine with a new Trackmaster Pilbara used the Tanami a couple of week later and besides what appeared to be some minor issues with foam movement under panels and a considerable amount of dust inside got through ok. These issues will be addressed by Trackmaster once he returns home to Victoria as the van is a new model for them and they are keen to get things right. Hope this information is of some help to you Warm Regards John
  5. Hi Bob no have not had the same experience and difficult to comment on without knowing the following, road conditions, tyre pressure, was speed a factor and driving to conditions which is quiet often mentioned in the forum. Coming from a farming background I do not believe I have ever broken a spring on any of our farming equipment which was not always built to best standards. Sorry that I am unable to shed anymore light on the subject. Warm regards John
  6. In my case Chris I was looking for a caravan made with an aluminium frame and the number of manufactures quickly diminishes when this is the case. I also had a trade in that I needed a commitment to before signing which Kedron had given me even though I ended up selling my old van privately. A $2,000 deposit was also a major factor. Other manufactures required much more. The general ease in dealing with all of the Kedron staff was also a major factor. All in all we have now had the ATV for 10 months and could not be happier. Warm Regards John
  7. Hi Bill I took delivery of our Kedron ATV in September and had air bags fitted from ARB prior to receiving the van. We had considerable sag with our previous caravan which was 800 Klg lighter than the Kedron. Being a person that believed air bags were a waste of money, I was pleasantly surprised to see the difference they have made at keeping the back end of our 100 series Landcruiser level. We run our air bags between 20 to 30 psi when towing and around 8 psi when not towing. Everyone of course has differing opinions however if and when we change our 100 series the first thing I will do to my new vehicle is install air bags. Kind Regards John
  8. Hi Chris and Val I was on the SA government web site this morning and discovered the Oodnadatta track is closed in sections due to rain. We are in the process of packing and leaving next Tuesday to do the Oodnadatta track and Simpson Desert. We will be tenting the entire trip. what started as a joke 12 months ago at leaving the wives home and travelling the Simpson is coming to fruition. 12 mates departing in 6 cars. Should be interesting as we are all very dependent on our wives. We are on the waiting list at Kedron and should take delivery of our new van at the end of September. I can then look forward to travelling in comfort to places like Dalhousie. Have a great time on your adventure and enjoy this fabulous country of ours. Best Regards John and Tina
  9. Hi Rick I have just had 1 delivered which was drought on ebay for $117.00 150 klg capacity and will be easy enough to carry at 11 klg. when extended it is 3.8 metres Best Regards John
  10. Thankyou all for the feed back. At this stage I am still undecided which way I will go. I like the idea of the extra space between car and van and understand it will be easier to manoevur when reversing. Getting around tight bush tracks I believe I can over come. My main concern and that of my wife is the overall lenth when we use different caravan parks close to home with friends on extended weekends throughout the year. Kind Regards to all John and Tina
  11. Hi all I have ordered a XC3 19'6" (internal measurments). I am undecided whether to go with the extended draw or just have the standard draw bar fitted at this stage. I wounld like some feed back on advantages and disadvantages of both. Comments will be much appreciated. Best Regards to all John and Tina
