Hello, I have just bought another set of tyre monitors after sending a set of Tyredogs back. This set is supplied by ABR-SIDEWINDER, an online store in Brisbane. They are normally supplied with a set of six screw on sensors. Two extra sensors to make up a set of eight cost an extra $43 each. The unit does not require a relay for the caravan sensors. I have only been driving the 4WD around for a week with them on and they work fine. I have no connection with ABR-SIDEWINDER. Cheers, Fred1

  3. Hello everyone, Thanks to everyone for their responses to my previous Cape York questions. Hopefully I have just one more question. Is there any of Lakefield National Park accessible to a 19/20 foot offroad van? The National Parks website says the park is not suitable for caravans but I know Pandanus Park in Lakefield is accessible for the war veterans with offroad vans. I know some of the locations in the Park would be too small or the roads too narrow. What is the Kedron owners view on a suitable spot in the Park? Cheers, Fred1
  4. Hello everyone, Has anyone taken their van the 3 kilometers or so into the day parking area of Fruit Bat falls from the Development Road and Telegraph junction (other than the Galls)? The van is 19 foot. Someone has told me to unhitch the van at the junction of the Telegraph Track leave it there and just drive the 4WD in. The reason was if I met someone coming back, the road was too narrow to get the van out of the way. I am reluctant to leave the van unattended at the junction for obvious reasons. Eliot Falls are a further 7 Kms in again. Has anyone taken their van in there? Cheers, Fred

Hello, I would like to get a bit of information on the possibility of taking a van on any of the east coast spots on Cape York and if the visit was actually worth the effort. Possible spots are Port Stewart, Iron Range(Chili Beach), Captain Billy Landing although I have heard this track is a bit overgrown with overhanging trees. Additionally, can you get a van into a free camp on the southern side of Canal Creek? I am sure some of the members can provide this information. Thanks in advance. Fred
