Hi Bryan,

We recently installed the Autosat S2 from Intellisat 1300 551616

They are located in Melbourne but arranged for shipment and installation in Perth. The installer came to my house and did a very good job on the installation.

We went for the Autosat because it has all metal gears and drive which I think will be more robust for off tar travelling.

It is very simple to operate (push 1 button to set up and to park).

We are very pleased with the system.

Hi All,

I am looking at relocating my Oyster dish from between the solar panels at the front of the van to the rear.

The main issue I see is that the dish will be mounted east /west.

The manual says to install it north / south.

Has anyone installed their sat dishes this way and if so did you need to install a wind deflector?

Any comments would be appreciated.

Ian

Hi Ian,

We have our dish installed North -South at the rear of van.

If you reposition yours East -West I would think you would need a large wind deflector to stop the updraught?

However this would need to be well away from the dish so it can lift and spin around without touching.

Left ours up one time for 20klm the wind forced it down backwards and to one side was not happy ,but, no damage done.

You more than likely have thought about this.

Maybe someone has done this?

John
