Deisel Heater Ticking

G'day

I know this has been discussed previously, but I am wondering if anyone has come up with a workable solution to eliminate the ticking of the diesel heater.

I am considering remounting the pump in some sort of enclosure or with a sound insulator around it.

Has anyone got a workable solution to eliminate the ticking?

I played with the mount and a bit of rubber and now I can sleep

I turn the sink tap on just enough to make a dripping sound, and then I can't hear it.

A bottle of red helps! Like everyone else we don't have another answer but I must admit being in Queensland we don't need to use it very often.

Hi Alan,

I know of at least one person that relocated the tank and pump to the rear of the van with great success. Seems to me quite a simple job.

Hi Alan

I have relocated the tank and pump to the rear of the van, I had a new aluminium tank made, the tank is protected by a rear bar. I fitted the pump under the back of the van and fitted a ali stone guard to protect it.

I have tried wrapping the pump, rubber mounting it, nothing else worked but relocating.
