Dometic Washing Machine

Hi Everyone,

Our front loader washing machine has just started playing up. After starting the washing cycle, it fills with water and then promptly discharges it. No washing cycle.

It is approx. 8 years old and has never played up.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Ian

Sorry I can't help with your problem, but ours started to get a real howl up when on spin cycle. Long story cut short it was a bearing.

Rang four different repairers and was told to buy a new one. in their opinion if you go beyond 2 years you can expect problems.

If you have had eight years you have done well.

A new machine is around the $1200 mark. Camec have released a new front loader which has a slightly larger capacity as well as slightly larger external dimensions, which meant it wouldn't fit.

From memory it was $890 and 4 kg capacity?

Unfortunately, if its for a caravan, its not cheap.

Regretfully ours went to the dump so can't help with spare parts.

Here is a link to a manual - http://www.dometicrvcentre.com.au/documentmanager/item/151 with Problem Solving on Page 15 but does not seem to list your exact problem although there is one on machine not filling with water.
