Hello,

Below is a link to a report I have written on the ANZAC Day commemoration Gayleen and I attended on a hill, half way between Boulia and Bedourie in far western Queensland. It was a great day.

Colin and Gayleen,

Thank you for sharing this lovely story. It must have been a wonderful experience (probably a lot better than our Anzac Day in wet, cold, miserable Melbourne). We always think small regional towns do a lot better than the big city Anzac Day services.

Once again thank you, always love reading about other people's travels.

Cheers,

Clive and Sandra

Thank you Sandra. It was a "once in a lifetime event", so to speak, very special. The poem at the end of the story sums it up.

An excellent read, thank you Colin.

A couple that we met over in the Flinders last month spent a magnificent ANZAC Day at Farina Station and said it was a moving ceremony there as well. as they have their own memorial for the many station hands that volunteered for both wars.

Hello Colin,

Great report for a very important day.

We too attended a very memorable dawn service and memorial service in the beautiful"Outback". We attended the service at Farina Station on the start of the Oodnadatta Track. It was attended by over 200 people and a large number of ex servicemen and women.

The Outback can certainly do it better

Hi Steve and Kez,

I am familiar with Farina and their flag station. It would have been wonderful there on ANZAC Day.
