Are you looking for some fun over the Anzac Day Long weekend? Then please come to Wandoan, QLD for the Wandoan On Show weekend (Friday 22nd to Mon 25th April 2016) to help support the town. This is NOT an official Kedron Owners Group Gathering as the event is open to any caravan make, so please note that KOG Public Liability Insurance does not apply to this event. This is a general call for any traveller who may like to go to Wandoan to support the town for their Community Show & Anzac Day service over the long weekend. More information of the long weekend events can be found on the attached flyer. Anzac Day commemorations are to be held on Monday 25th as part of the long weekend events The Wandoan On Show can also be seen on Wandoan’s Facebook page with further updates. https://www.facebook.com/wandoanshow/ Camping will be at the Juandah Historical Site – 92 Windeyer Rd Wandoan http://www.about-australia.com/attractions/juandah-historical-site/ Peter Shadforth’s organisation Shadforths Civil Contractors will be sponsoring some of the events at the Wandoan On Show. He will be arriving Thurs 21st April, so you are welcome to arrive any time after 2pm. Cost for camping is $10 per night per van for an unpowered site. A camping permit will be paid directly to the Historical Site when you arrive. There is limited water available so please come with full tanks. Refilling is available via your 12v pump siphoning method from your portable water containers. (Taps are on site) The camping ground is pet friendly and there is a dump point, plus toilets & showers. Entry cost for the show itself is $25 per vehicle (max 4 people in a car) The two-day show events include – Bronco Riding, and a Car Rally and much, much more – please see the attached flyer for more information. More events are being planned for the long weekend; final confirmation details will be sent out once they are organised. Some of the events they are hoping to include are a Camp Out lunch, BBQ dinner, Bare foot Bowls at the Bowls Club, A Bush Poet and more. Peter Shadforth will also be organising a Shuttle bus service between the campground during the weekend’s events. To book for camping, please confirm with Peter Shadforth what nights you plan on attending, and he will do a bulk booking directly with the Heritage Site.
