  1. We've only had our Kedron a few months. While we feel we've mastered country and interstate traveling, we haven't yet ventured into remote areas.

Colin's invitation gives us an opportunity to take our next step in the company of experienced travellers using the same equipment. Sure, we could go it alone and work it out for ourselves, but for our first trip I'd much prefer to learn from those who know rather than by trial and error. It will still be an "adventure" for us, even more so from meeting new friends and fellow travellers. From the strong response it seems many of us feel the same way.

We've found the KOG forums invaluable learning about our new van and appreciate the good advice we've received. We're looking forward to this opportunity to meet some of you, and thank Colin for his kind invitation and helpful advice to date. As I'm still working, traveling time is precious and I really do hope we'll be able to join you.

In the meantime, we're off for a month through February around the coast from Sydney to Adelaide via the Great Ocean Road and back via the Murray Valley and Olympic Highways. Best wishes to everyone for a great year and safe travels in 2013.

  2. Envious Colin? You bet!

We need lots more "practice" before we work up to a big one like this. But it looks so fabulous!!

It would be great to link up with you guys sometime so we'll watch your travels with interest.

    Enjoy your planning and anticipation.

    Best regards, Andrew & Sarah.

  3. Hi Bondi and Jenny

We have had our 21ft Top Ender for about 2 months and, whilst we love it, I kind of wish we had purchased the ATV instead. This is our first caravan. I now realise now that I will never venture into situations where the extra ruggedness of the chassis of the TE over the ATV will be needed. Advantages of an ATV are, in my view, less weight, less price and 3 inches wider. The TE has leather upholstery and this is an optional extra for the ATV. I also got matching 17" Land Cruiser wheels for the van. I'm not sure whether this option (17" wheels) is available on the lower ATV.

    Hope this helps.

Hi, this is our first post and I hope I get it right!

Agree with Geoff: We also have a 21' TopEnder which we tow with our LC100TD. We've had it 6 months and love it. No problems towing it with the Landcruiser, but we have to watch our weight and what we put into it very carefully. If I was doing it again, like Geoff I'd go with the same size ATV for the rreasons he mentions. I also have the 17" LC wheels on the TE and this is a significant advantage. The leather interior would be hard to go away from too! Either way, you won't be disappointed - they're all great vans.

Let us all know what you finally choose - or chose.

    Andrew
