  1. Hi John,

Your ecu will have logged a fault code which can be extracted with the correct scan tool.

I expect that the limp home mode that you experienced would have been due to excessive exhaust temps as you thought.

I also have the 200 series towing a 19'6 ATV and have been up that same range but didn't hit the limp home mode however I have a EGT gauge which I drive by and backed off slightly when the temp rises too high.

Question??? Does the 100 series that travelled with you have a high flow exhaust fitted?

    Cheers.

  2. Hi Arthur,

I am the owner of AMMS mechanical at Sandgate and we specialise in 4wd turbo upgrades.I have a 100series turbo landcruiser with a chip and exhaust.

There is quite a few chips to choose from all offering similar increases(Dtronic,Rapid,DP and Steinbauer to name a few).

The chip alone will give you approx 10% to 15% increase in torque and power.Add a 3 inch exhaust and you will achieve another 10%(based on the 100 series).Another bonus is better fuel economy.

I tow a 3.2 tonne ATV and the main advantage i noticed was the torque increase throughout the whole rev range.

I can supply you with dyno graphs that will show increases and you can also take mine for a drive to feel for yourself.

I hope this info is of help.

  3. Hi Mark,

I have the exact triple bunker that Darryl mentioned, however i have been informed that the law has now changed and now only available in double format(check this with Kedron).

We are currently at South Ballina in it and can't rave enough about how funtional it is with a young family.I came from a Track camper and wanted something i can drag through the rough if needed and not fall apart.I now have the best of both worlds.

You are welcome at anytime to come and have a look at mine.

    Cheers,

    Glen Hadden
