  1. Hold the line Ann, not many of us 100 Series left. Looks like the Chevvy's becoming the new Kedron tug of choice but we're staying true to the Toyo!

    Best regards, Andrew

Hi Andrew, we love our 100 series but it is about 10 years old now and some minor things needed replacement!! :D The 3" Taipan exhaust made a big difference to our towing.

    Hello Jacky Jacky,

That is a good link that you provided. From this and other forums I cannot find any criticisms of the Silverado other than size related issues such as parking. Certainly, we Ozzies are not accustomed to big motor vehicles as are the Americans.

To me, it is the peace of mind that the Silverado provides due to its capacities in load carrying, braking and power that are attractive. Mind you, I find the heated and cooled seats and many other creature comforts attractive as well.

Where are you at the moment? Wherever you may be I hope your are both well and having fun.

    Regards

    Colin

Hi Colin, we are resting up for a bit at Townsville before going to catch up with Elle near Ayr then out to Charters Towers. Have to be back in Brisneyland by end of October. Good luck with your vehicle choice and love to Gayleen.

  2. If I want to check what is going into the batteries I look at the Plasmatronic PLM monitor/read out to see how many amps is going in then start the vehicle and wait a bit and see if there is any increase in Charge In. We have a 175 amp Anderson plug (heavy duty wiring done by Springers 12V) and the Amps/Charge In normally goes up to 22 amps or more in the morning.

There is some 12 fuses (in our van boot) under a plastic cover and the list of fuses supplied by Kedron notes the Anderson plug is Fuse No.1 for the Anderson charge.

  3. Hi The Dingoes,

Hope you are enjoying your TE. Dust in the door vent just about irks everyone. As Webby indicated the vent is mandatory for the likelihood of any gas leak and death. Taping the vent is a cheaper option as is trying a piece of dense foam between the screen door and main door.

Other elaborate methods have been used. Here is a link to a couple of topics/ discussions on the Caravaners Forum that may be of interest - http://www.caravanersforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=73&t=29159

  4. Hi Reece,

As Andrew indicated above, Pebbly Beach is mainly tent or vehicular camping - http://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/Murramarang-National-Park/Pebbly-Beach-campground/camping

We have not stayed here - http://www.durrasnorthpark.com.au/south-coast-camping-ground/ but it says it is suitable for 'small caravans'.

Or you could go a bit further south to Moruya's North Head Campground - http://www.aussiebudgetcamps.com/Review-NSW-North_Head_Camping_Area.htm

    Enjoy your trip.

  9. Hi Bondi & Jenny,

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you cannot wait to travel.

I am with the KOG trip doing the Outback Way and have just arrived in Leonora for our last night as a group. Great trip. Something for you to look forward to with your new Kedron.

  10. Hello Lovegreen,

Congratulations on picking up your van. I have not stored my van for long so I'm not sure of the best solution. A suggestion would be to empty it as much as possible then flush it out with fresh water until water runs clear and then leave it. On our tank there is a cap to inset a hose to enable the tank to be flushed. Hope this is of some help.
