  2. Hi All Just arrived home after a week away with Dazmit Travelling all around the waterfall way around Armidale and east of, had a great time free camping around the national parks and checking out some awesome waterfalls which were in full flow as they have had a lot of rain in the area. Will post some pics when I download them, found some great spots but most are also in the CAW 4 book also Ned and I would like to wish everybody all the best for Christmas and the New Year with lots of travel as well and NOT to much of the liquids  :drunk: Regards Kimbo and Ned
  3. interesting I will have to try mine never ever give it a thought about testing usable Kedron havnt fitted the 60ltr tanks by mistake have they?? easy to tell by just getting under the van and looking at the size of the drink tank which is 60 litr the 2 shower tanks being 80 litre are noticably larger Be carefull when filling your tanks that you dont put the filling hose on with tooooooooo much pressure like I did yesterday on the Topender, the tank filled and was spurting out the overflow and I was distracted by someone for a few minutes before I was able to turn the tap off.................well the rest was a big boom and water comming out everywhere, blew the bottom of the tank which resulted in a hole about 6" long by 1/2" wide and not much fun getting the tank out too replace it. Amazing actually how much mud and gunk (stones and Red dirt) collect in those guards around the tanks and it drops all over you into your eyes and hair when removing the tank.

  7. As a bit of fun we have decided to run a humorous competition in our Photos Section which involves members adding photos from their old "pre carvanning days". To enter - go to the newly created album "KOG Members Pre Caravanning Pics Competition" and upload a pic or two of some of the tents/campertrailers/swags etc. you have camped in prior to buying a Kedron van. Please remember to title the photo with your name so we know who we're laughing at. The winning photo will be judged on humour, weirdness, uniqueness and description. We encourage everyone to go through their old photos. You may be sitting on a winner ! The description can include a 25 words or less story surrounding the photo which may include the reason that particular photo convinced you to get away from this type of camp setup and go for the luxury of a Kedron. Competition closes mid March and the winner will be announced and a fantastic prize will be given out at our Island Reach gathering at Imbil. :photo:

  13. Hi Meg and Marty And welcome to the group Are you sure that the tanks filled fully and you didnt get an airlock??
  14. Hi Garry and Judy Welcome to the group Having owned 2 kedrons an ATV built 2004 and now a Topender I have sampled both suspensions and when building the Topender was keen to stick with the beam axle as was on the ATV But after talking with Barry Gall he convinced me to go for the Cruisemaster suspension. After just completing a trip up into the gulf region that was about 6mths travel and approximately 17000klm I can say that I am very happy with the cruisemaster and never had any issues at all other than 1 wheel being out of allignment which scrubbed a tyre a bit but this was an easy fix after I returned to Kedron and it was explained to me as to where to take it in the future if it was to Occur again. I have done approx 20000klm in the Topender in just over 12 mths and I grease the points reguarly. The bushes IMO would wear out over time and I would say they are a consumable but as to the longevity before replacement was required I'm not sure of. The shower recess we haven't suffered any problems with mould, maybe some of the members who live in their vans might be able to comment further on this?? The cupboard knobs once again we haven't suffered any problems at all, although 1 cupboard door did come open on a very rough track crossing from Kingfisher camp across Bowthorn stn to Lawn Hill (approx 140klm trip) and when we opened the van door a 2 ltr bottle of orange mix up cordial had leaked over the floor of the van. But to be honest I don't really think this was the fault of the catch more a case of not being locked properly. If you go to photos section of the list you will see some of the rds we traversed during our stay in the gulf within Kimbo's photos album also Roger "madog" has some photos in his album of the gulf when he followed thru after us and at a guess the rds would have had some more traffic across it by the time Roger had done the trip making the rds a bit more rougher. Hope this helps with your decision making. If you require further info just ask and I and I'm sure others within the group will try to assist as we all know how hard the decisions are.

Hi Rod and Mavis If considering a HF radio before doing any deals contact me and I can put you in contact with someone from the HF radio club who could probably do you a better deal than a agent. As you mention Casino I think you may have allready met my contacts there?? There are others within this group who have done such and probably they may come in and comment re this I can highly recommend HF Radio's but it does depend on the user being willing to play and get use to the operation of the item If you require further Info just contact via P/message and i will answer the questions for you
