We have just come home from 4 months away Darwin, King Ash Bay, Karumba where there was plenty of red dirt. We used jiff cream cleanser (just household bottle from woolies) this time to clean the van and it was much easier then others we have used no harsh scratching,seem to clean the checker plate better as well as the white sides. The gerni too off course. I found it very easy ......watching Len clean the van. Len and Lynda

Hi Chris and Val We liked King Ash Bay only stayed a week though as you really need a boat to catch a barra. Len caught two queenies off the bank. I caught nothing not even a catfish. Nice place to sit by the river even if you are not fisher people. Hope to catch up one day. Lynda have a safe one

We have had gas/electric hot water in both our Kedrons...I would not be without the GAS/Electric HAD NO PROBLEM AT ALL.

We are on our second Kedron and our first one had a Truma Hot water gas/electric and we had no trouble at all, but I have heard of others having cracked tanks. Kedron stopped putting Trumas in. Our current Kedron has a suburban gas/electric and has an annode. It is a bigger system in litres. We have had it 18 months and the annode will need changing soon. I have been happy with both systems. Kedron tried to talk me into just gas system but I am really pleased I stuck to the gas/electric systems. If I am in a caravan park with mains water & power then I can have my shower in my own Kedron Caravan and not visit the showers of the caravan park. (keeping my gas for another day)

You will need a 27mm socket to get the anode out of the hot water system. Sometimes they may need changing sooner depending on the quality of the water used. Arrow caravans or Camec have them in Brisbane so a caravan accessories place near you would be a start. Open flat on hot water system and unsrew anode (its a big nut towards the bottom) 27mm required .

The latches on doors and drawers in our Kedron built 2006 loosen sometimes. Len has put a small amount of silicone on the inside thread which has stopped the latches from vibrating loose on rough and corrugated roads. This is our 2nd kedron and have been pleased with both of them. The first kedron built 2002 had different latches and could not vibrate loose. Both latches in both vans were strong and held tight over rough surfaces. Happy travelling.
