  1. Hi Fiona,

Under Hints, Tips & Products (Kedron Owners Access only), you will see two types of clotheslines (with pictures). The Flinbex (which is attached to the side of the van and removable - available from Camex), and the Kent Clothesline (attaches to your awning and is also removable - available through Danny Kent).

We have both types and they both have very different uses. For just a few items, we would use the Flinbex on the side of the van and have two brackets mounted. One on the awning side (if it's raining) and the other set of brackets on the other side of the van (in case that's where it's the sunniest). It is so easy to slide up the whole clothesline (clothes and all) and move them quickly around to the under awning brackets if it starts to rain.

I also wouldn't be without the Kent Clothesline for our bigger trips when we need to hang out a whole week's worth.

    Hope this helps.

  2. I think I may have a statement retraction to make about the Crows Nest ham.

I stuck my neck out and recommended it as the best ham I have ever had, and the previous year it certainly was !

However the one we got at Christmas just gone was nowhere near as good. I would even say it was a little "over smoked".

Athough it was still a nice ham, it wasn't of the quality I recommended folks at the Christmas at Crows Nest Gathering - so I apologise.

You can all jump on here now and tell me how over-rated it was.

I must say his other meat (steaks, pork etc.) are still excellent.

  3. Hi Greg & Judy,

Things we would do different -

    - Definately a Webasto heater

    - Blackout curtains (however I think the new vans have this with their new window styles)

    - an Oyster dish would be nice, although I don't know how they would stand up to harsh corrugations

    - extended A frame (we didn't get it because of current storage space)

    Things we love -

    - internal shower/toilet

    - full floor to ceiling pantry cupboard

    - washing machine

    - cafe style seating

    - external hatch to take outside chairs, table, fishing gear etc.

    - 1800w inverter

....and just the toughness and reliability of a Kedron in general

  4. Hi Chris,

Hope you get a quick sale. Must be getting close to the new one now. Exciting times again.

You might want to transfer your details into our Classifieds section. You can find a link to this at the top of the forum under the header pictures.

  6. Ingredients

    500g plain flour

    250g ground rice (rice flour)

    250g caster sugar

    500g butter

    ½ teaspoon salt

    Method

Sift the dry ingredients. Warm the butter slightly but not until oily and rub into dry ingredients. Keep rubbing until it binds (about 10 – 15 mins), then turn it out and kneed it until it is a smooth soft dough. (Kneading will take a very long time. Dough will start out very crumbly but will eventually, with much muscle action, turn into a smooth silky dough). Roll out, cut biscuits, and prick with a fork. Stand for two hours then bake in slow oven (about 150c) or a little more until light brown (about ½ hour). If you cannot get ground rice, use rice flour.

NB: Ground rice can be found in the health section.

  7. Ann and I had the opportunity to visit Dargo in the Victorian High Country today. We jumped on a couple of horses and did the "WO-Man From Snowy River" thing. :whip:

For those of you who are heading down this way, I can assure you, you will not be disappointed. This part of the country is spectacular !

We are currently at Wilson's Prom resting our sore bottoms from our ride. :helpsmilie:

See you all soon...and travel safe.

  8. Hi Sue,

You can change any of your details under My Controls. There is a link to My Controls at the top right of your screen (under all the KOG links).

Once you go to My Controls, you will see down the left hand side of the screen a list of things you can change. The one you are after is under Options and then Change Email Address.

To save you any hassles, I've changed it for you, but just thought I'd mention it in case there's anything else from time to time that you might want to change.

    Cheers
