David is correct. We have the Camec mat not CGear. Yes it is a bit more expensive but we love it.
I have heard from others that the CGear is very good too. Each to their own I guess.

Registration form is now available on our KOG Trips Page for this gathering.

Have you told your friends about this crazy Kedron Owners Group you're involved in and perhaps you would like for them to meet us all? Now's your chance.
We have opened up the Christmas at Crows Nest to Kedron Owners and friends. (Dates will be posted on the KOG Trip Page shortly) Please limit your invitations to just one other van/motorhome/campertrailer of friends, as numbers will be limited.
Details (including costs etc.) and an online registration form will be posted tomorrow night, so get in quick. Only Kedron owners will have access to the form, so you will need to book for your friends.
We will once again hold the Christmas Gift "Give & Take" which proved to be so much fun last year. So please indicate on the form when you register if you will be taking part, and also if your friends would like to take part as well.
Saturday night will be the judging of the "Best Xmas Van Lights" competition - so don't forget to bring a little van bling !
It is important to note that if you are bringing friends and wish to be located together, you will need to arrive together as sites cannot be reserved.

That's OUR Roger.
Notice we've layed claim to him already. No escaping now Roger !

All registration pages are now up and running.

Hey Pete, you sound like a bouncing ball. Down to Sydney, up to Darwin, down to Tassie. That's an awful lot of miles.
Tell you what.....let me do the Darwin/Gulf trip for you, and that will save the bounce in the middle.
Hope those oil shares are doing well.
Stay safe.

Apologies to anyone trying to register for any of our trips today as there is a small glitch in the system.
I will fix it tonight (after 6pm), so you may want to try to register again after this time.
Sorry

Just returned home from a great weekend at Kenilworth.
Glen & Nicole arrived Friday night and despite good intentions to get away around 9 am the next morning, they didn't leave till nearly midday. I think they were having too much fun.
During the weekend we had a nice pub lunch, a movie, Christmas dinner, a cheese factory tour, some star gazing and many many laughs around the campfire and under awnings late into the night. We even had a visit from Santa who enjoyed handing out the gifts and had the ladies (and some of the gentlemen) sit on his lap to tell a few secrets on whether they had been naughty or nice. (Thanks Ted)
If anyone has some good pics from the weekend, please send them through to moderator@kedronownersgroup.com, and I'll put them into our KOG Gathering albums.
Thanks Bob & Di for another fantastic KOG gathering and safe travels to North Queensland.

Thanks for that guys, but no need to go out and specially buy some. I'm just hoping some folks maybe have some laying around.
It does look like a nice quiet spot, doesn't it - but only until all the KOGGERS get there ! :drunk:

I have just received a photo from the Trip Leaders who are already at Kenilworth. As you can see it's a little misty in the mornings. I would suggest you pack some warm clothes.
If anyone has any spare firewood laying around and can throw some on your A Frame it would be very much appreciated.
See you all on the weekend.
I now know what time I'm getting out of bed !

Hi John & Julie,
Welcome to KOG and hopefully you might find time to join us in a gathering or two down the track.
I know you will see many Kedrons out there, particularly if you are travelling north and across the gulf. We're a pretty friendly bunch, and I've always said - you can't hide in a Kedron. We will find you !
I hope you don't mind, I have taken the liberty of deleting your personal details from your floor plan (just as a security measure) and if you permit I would be happy to upload your plan to our photos section with the others.
Congratulations on your new ATV2 and safe travels.

I can't wait to get into Roger's head about OziExplorer. I am sure it can do a lot more than the little bits I use it for.

Hi David,
I think a few of the KOG were there at some point over July/August last year, on our return from the Burdekin Gathering.
We were there on 24 Aug and had only one other neighbour. Great spot. Couldn't believe the free power.
The night before, we were at Wallumbilla Showgrounds about 35 klms this side of Roma - again with free power. Little gems those places, aren't they...
-
Hi Bruce,
Will have to admit, although I saw them at the show, I didn't check them out as I'm quite happy with my PDA with Tom Tom. I have all the Camps 4 POI's, and OziExplorer so didn't think I had a need for anything new.
Like you, I've seen them in various magazines etc., and now I wish I had at least stopped to have a chat with the sales person.
Guess I'll have to wait until the next show now, unless someone here can give us both an opinion on them.

Hi Mark & Deb,
Crows Nest has been sold. The new owners take over on 1 July. Hopefully they're good cooks. :chef:
I know they have good taste, cos they're Kedron owners !
I feel a Christmas at Crows Nest coming on  Watch this space !

Hi Peter & Yvonne,
I know you guys would have put a lot of thought into this and it would not have been an easy decision.
Don't forget to put it in our "Classifieds" section. If you need any help, you know how to contact me.
Hope all goes well for you both. If we're ever up your way again, which is a very strong possibility, we'll certainly drop in and say hi.

Hi Graham & Sue,
We just LOVE new Kedrons at our gatherings. You will have more friends wanting the grand tour than you can poke a stick at.

Ha ! So true Kimbo

Thanks Roger, although you should take some of the credit, as it came out of a conversation with you....remember. It was a great suggestion. Thank you.

Sounds like a spot for a future Kedron Gathering Alan.
Will look forward to you posting details shortly?
-
Hi Alan,
Found this one here for $247.50. Not sure if it's the same as what you're after.
-
They do look nice Rosco. Not sure if I would pay nearly $400 though. But they look spiffy on the 250.

If you are thinking of holding a KOG gathering and are not sure what is involved, a list of FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions) has been uploaded to help you out.
The link to these FAQ's can be found on our KOG Trip Page (just under the photo section at the top of the page).
Cheers

Chris,
It would be interesting to weigh the two together to see the difference, but yes, I would think ours is heavier than the CGear.
