Kimbo,
We replaced all our halogen lights with LED's. But you know how technical I am. I took the old bulb out and said to the guy at Springers - "Can I please have a LED to replace this."
Not cheap, but definately worth it. I didn't like the heat the old ones generated. They got ridiculously hot !The ones I bought have a built in regulator.

I know you took a note of the GPS co-ordinates Chris, so we'll chat later.
Looking forward to catching up at Imbil
Cheers

Hi Garry & Judy,
First of all, congratulations on the order of your Kedron. It's an exciting time, as many members will tell you. We can't wait to see your floor plan. If you have any problems, please let me know and I'll help you to upload it etc. etc.
I have also changed your status in the forum to "On Order".

Hi Pete,
If you've got the time to drive up to Mitta Mitta the second week of November, you'll be able to catch about 20 of us in the one place for a whole week. I'm sure we'd all be happy to give you a personal tour.
Roger could possibly give you more information on that if you ask him.

Always a good read Chris.
Pictures now too ! :photo:

:Australia: :photo: I've just uploaded a few photos from the Bunya Mountains weekend for those interested in taking a peek.
http://tinyurl.com/32nwno will take you directly there.
Or the permanent link is at the top of the KOG Trips Page at www.kedronownersgroup.com/gatherings.htm

Thanks David. I would hope none of our members feel the need to get involved in a "who's best" discussion in any other forum.
It is merely a sharing of information. Similar to a smorgasbord - lots of things on offer, take what you feel would suit you and leave the rest.
Chris and Val have been well respected members of the Caravanners Forum for quite a long time and I know I personally find many other forums particularly good for lots of information obsorbsion - taking into account our spec'd up Kedrons.
But good advice all the same..........

Not a bad site actually. Got some good info and feedback on all sorts of caravanning topics.
Check it out.
Another good one is the Caravanners Forum at -
http://groups.msn.com/CaravanersForum
Both have excellent information.
-
Roger,
I've merged the two "chairs" topics together, so hopefully now you will be able to find it.

Rule #1
Ensure your power cord and sullage hoses are disconnected from your van before you move off your site and head off up the road.
Anything to add to that Kimbo? :shades:

That's spot on Kimbo. I'm shocking at maths too, so I go to this website and it works it all out for me.
http://www.hicloneqld.com/fuelcalculator.html
I put in your figures and it told me "Kimbo is a smarty pants"
I'll add the link to our KOG links page for future reference for members.

Unfortunately the KOG gathering at Hervey Bay has been cancelled.
All links to this event from the KOG website have been removed and all registered attendees will receive a personal email notifying them of this cancellation.

Hi all,
One of our clever members some time ago, kindly added our KOG link to the "Links - Van Groups" section of the Caravanners Forum.
This link is now incorrect with our new web address, so could whoever created that link, please remove it. Unforunately only the author can remove or edit links in that area.
I have now added our correct KOG link (with logo) to the bottom of that page.
Thanks heaps

David,
Last time I took notes we were getting 17-18 ltrs / 100.
TD 100 series chipped.
I'm probably a bit light on the pedal. Towing around the 3t most of the time.
Not sure around town as she mostly sits comfy in the garage while we train it to and from work, so have never bothered to find out.
Cheers

Spotted an early model Kedron XC on Page 47 of the latest "On the Road" magazine (February 2008).
Nicely set up sunning itself at South Ballina Tourist Park. Looks like single beds, annexe out the side, no stoneguard and tow vehicle appears to be a silver Cruiser with driving lights.
I guess I can only sit here at work and look on with envy.
Any of our members recognise their baby?
-
Does just the mention of that word send shivers down your spine?!
Try this game I found on the net. First you have to load your van correctly and then drive it and hit the swerve button every now and then.
Interesting, yet disturbing.
Go to - Stability Studies Game
If you don't see the game immediately, click on the link "Stabilities Studies Game" at the top of the page.

If you have any old camping pics you would like to enter into our competition, but you aren't sure how to upload them into the photo album on our KOG Photos page - just email them to moderator@kedronownersgroup.com with your brief description for each photo and I will upload them for you.

You are correct Kimbo.
Under My Controls, then Change Personal Photo.
It would be good for everyone to put a pic in there so we can all put faces to postings. Preferably a pic of your face and not your rig though.
Please keep the size to a minimum - I think the limit is 150 x 150 pixels.
Cheers

Gazza,
Did you get in touch with Madog? You could probably grab his email address (or at least a link to it) from the Vic High Country Gathering information page.
-
Thank you Chris for welcoming our new members. I see we had 34 people view their posting, but no one thought to say "welcome".
Good on you !
-
Thank you to all those who sent me pics from the Christmas at Crows Nest Gathering.
I have now compiled them all into one big album and this can be found via the link at the top of our KOG Trips Page.
There are over 100 pics, so if you were there I'm sure you'll find your smiling face amongst them. If you can't, then congratulations you were very good at avoiding all the cameras. :photo:
-
Hi all,
The Victorian High Country gathering is now full. We needed to extend the limit to 22 to allow for the last three registrations/deposits which arrived at exactly the same time. So to avoid disappointment we have accepted all three.
Cheers

Rosco??! Have you been keeping secrets?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!

Well....I'm the one who's always falling over, so I guess it's me. :drunk:

Yes, Blayney is a very nice place ...... in summer.
Chris is making that comment because I was born there. I was also happy to leave the area when I was around 7 to come to sunny Queensland. You would have to experience a winter down there to truly know what I am saying.
Say hi to all the rellies Chris. :shades:
