  1. Thanks to everyone for their comments on this subject, but I think it might be best now to close this topic as all that can be said ... has been said.

I'm sure Alex and Fiona have appreciated our feedback and thoughts and as discussed, we all look forward to visiting Banka Banka and many of the other great places out that way just as soon as we can.

  2. Don't forget to vote in the Poll. The results are getting closer and closer so every vote is important.

If you haven't yet voted, scroll to the top of this posting and click on one of the two options.

Voting closes next Wednesday. (20th May).

  3. Thanks for your feedback guys, but hopefully you are casting your votes up the top there as well, as that is what will determine the final decision.

At the moment it looks like it's 2:1 in favour of reversing it from what it is now......so don't forget to cast a vote.

  4. Just want to run a poll on whether people would prefer the most recent messages in each topic to appear at the top, rather than having to scroll all the way to the bottom each time.

Please Note: Only those who are not moderated (ie have made 3 or more postings) can vote in this Poll.

  5. Hi Alex and Fiona,

I could not imagine anyone turning away business without good reason and you are certainly within your rights to evict anyone being aggressive or displaying abuse.

I trust our members will make their own decisions when visiting your area and not be swayed by hopefully a one off incident.

  6. Thanks David.

For those who aren't sure what David is talking about - it was a photo competition run on the Caravanners Forum. The subject was "Our rig at a great campsite".

I posted a pic taken of the Einasleigh River "secret spot" from under our awning.

Any Kedron owners wanting to know the exact location of this "secret spot" can find it under the Kedron Camp Spots here in KOG.

And I don't think there is an actual prize David. But I was chuffed that I'd won anyway.

  7. Both our van and vehicle are insured with NRMA as is our house, contents etc. etc. Had a couple of small claims and never had any problems at all. Very quick and easy to deal with.

Some others may recommend CIL for the van, but I have not personally had any dealings with them.

  8. Hi Adam,

Firstly, welcome to the Kedron Owners Group. You will find us all a very friendly and helpful bunch.

There are instructions on how to gain access to our Private Forum and Kedron owners only areas in the very top posting showing when you first click into this MAIN FORUM area.

As you won't have a lot of the details required to qualify your proof of ownership as you have only just ordered your van, a scanned copy of your layout from Stan showing your names at the top will suffice.

    Email to moderator@kedronownersgroup.com

  9. Bruce & Sue

We purchased a some high density (6mm) sleeping mat from one of the local camp stores on our trip to FNQ in 2007 and gaffa taped it to the rear window. Same situation as Russ & Sue (couldn't see out of it), which was in fact a bit of a nuisance because even when backing, you'd be surprised how much you do use the rear window. Well I do, anyway.

The cost was only $6, so well worth the small inconvenience, and worked extremely well.

  10. Thanks for those comments. Yes there is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes, and there are no stupid questions really. I'm happy to help where I can.

From my point of view it is all worth it when we're at a gathering and at night you stand still and listen to all the laughter from everyone having a great time. Every single member makes the group what it is with the sharing of information and volunteering to organise gatherings.

We've attracted a fantastic bunch of members since we commenced in 2003 and I know the other Moderators and I have often said to each other we had no idea it would grow in numbers like it has. So the accolades must be handed around to everyone.

Let's continue "keep it simple" and have a great time.

  11. Hi Bruce,

I've also seen a great idea where the 3G aerial is attached to the Winegard, so whenever you need that nice high aerial for reception, you just wind up the Winegard. The 3G aerial extends from the top of the Winegard. When the Winegard is in the down position, the 3G aerial then lays flat on the roof.

I believe our Life Members, Rosco & Chris have done this to their Bushtracker. And from memory there are a couple of others in the group as well who have done this little modification.

  12. Hi guys,

Can't help with the actual fuse problem, but I can suggest you do a word search of our old Yahoo forum, as it's still there although I'm not sure for how long as the old Yahoo forums are about to disappear forever. Perhaps if you're quick you might just find something.

You'll find a link to it at the foot of our opening KOG page - www.kedronownersgroup.com
