  2. Funny, I was looking through my collection of pics and I had the same idea to win a Leatherman. I thought that may be plagerism though. Good one Mick. Rosco
  3. Just stumbled on a new site. It shows a lot of promise. http://www.4x4earth.com.au/ Rosco
  4. Just a warning. I have it on good authority that the Kipor 2600 generator will NOT run the A/C's. Rosco

    Invertors

Hi Lea & Rick, You firstly need to calculate your power consumption with the maximium amount of appliances running at once. There are plenty of good sites that assist you, try this: http://www.rpc.com.au/products/efn/efnextr...ima_rating.html From what you say 600W would probably do. Spend the extra and get a PURE SINE WAVE inverter. Cleaner current and will run anything. I think Dazza will agree dont mount it in the genny box. Full of fumes. It may end up in a big kaboom. Rosco
  6. The Honda 2KVa should do the job however for a few Kgs more have a look at the Yahama EF2400iS. http://www.yamaha-motor.com.au/power/index.htm?power.asp Yahama EF2400iS Same noise, 2.4KVa, downside 11Kgs more. To run the A/C very successfully: Honda 30Is OR Yahama EF3000iSE, Both a lot heavier however the smaller generators labour when trying to run the A/C. The wont fit in the standard generator box though. Rosco
  7. Graham & Sue, Isnt it annoying. You thought this was possibly the "final choice" and we'all throw in our 2 cents worth. LOL. Having travelled in this size with this layout I have a few other ideas. No change to the layout because its a good one. Just a few tips on comfort. Phone me on 0755277220 if you want to discuss them.. Rosco
  8. Graham & Sue, We had the exact same layout in our 18'6" XC van. We liked the layout however may I make a few suggestions? We split the kitchen and put the stove next to the fridge. It gives you more usable work bench around the stove and sink. Also when drying the dishes you dont fall down the step. It does happen. The queen size bed is great but be aware you have no room to change next to the bed. You have to move out to the front of the bed. Hope this is helpful. Rosco

    Chairs

Hi donmar I went down that road with my design and decided they take up too much valuable space. Have a look at this site for various models: http://www.northcoach.com.au/seats.htm Rosco

    Check Lists

Certain Group Organisers for Bunya, I'm not saying who, forgot to take their table and chairs amongst other items to the weekend gathering. I sent them a few check lists we use - for their next trip. I thought other KOGgers may find them useful. See them under Hints, Tips & Products. Regards Rosco
  12. I think I speak for all in saying thanks Lionel & Margaret for organising the Bunya weekend. Great company and fun & games were had by all. Most partook in extensive Australia Day weekend celebrations :Australia: Rosco & Chris
  13. I also found mine well bent, almost a U shape. I took it back ta a Hayman Reece dealer and they replaced it free. Rosco
  14. I also own a Prodigy. I dunno about newer models, however I like mine because it has 3 push button boost levels, great when your hurtling down Cunninghams Gap. It also lets you know that your connected. This was particulary important when I first got our van. The brake wire was rubbung on the drum and shorting out. The Prodigy kept telling me there was an error otherwise I may not have known of the problem until I was in a hard braking situation. :helpsmilie: Rosco
  15. Thanks youall. Its AM News Year Day and now Ime over it. Rosco :shades:
  16. Who is the little icon on the left???? You or Anne???? LOL Rosco
  17. Darryl, If you want a free camp try Dumaresq Dam Recreation Area. Chris & I stayed there and its a real gem. If you have a canoe or boat take it. The weekend will be very busy but midweek you should have it all to yourself. See 139 in Camps 4. Regards Rosco
