  1. Hi Allan,
We have a 2018 Compact and just love it.

It has a tare of 2100 and can go up to 2750.

We do have a 3 way fridge so cannot comment on off grid time - we tend to spend most of our time off grid.

We have a 100L water and 60L fresh water tank - we do have a grey water tank as we like to go to national parks etc and a lot more places now ask for them.

We have an Aussie Traveller lightweight annexe - it is easy to put on / pull down. Easily stores under the bed and a great annexe.

Sorry I cannot comment on current price range but give Paul at the yard a call and he will be able to answer all your questions - we found him very helpful when we were looking.

    Hope this helps,

    Tony & Irene

Not that it really gets that cold for that long in Oz, I add about half litre of kerosene to the heater fuel tank....when I think about it.

The additive (kero) it is claimed stops the diesel fuel from ‘waxing’ up which would stop the correct operation of the heater.

The kero also supposedly breaks down any condensation & any other nasties the tank.

The MOST important thing to remember for correct operation of your heater is replacement of the fuel filter ($5 @ Repco/Supercheap) every 12 months regardless of use!

    Cheers

    Thanks Tony

  3. Hi Graham & Liz,

We have a compact that we only picked up in March this year. Before that we towed a 1 tonne 33 year old Millard Micro.

Yes the van is heavier and we have noticed a weight difference but our compact is easy to tow and we are getting used to it. It's first trip was a four week adventure north to Cooktown and via the Bloomfield track.  Our 79 series cruiser towed it without a concern.  We love our compact - we have the combined shower/ toilet model and have found that very workable, great kitchen and heaps of storage. We put bike racks on the front box and love that.

We would recommend the compact and we think you will love it also.  Oh and no question is stupid as I think we asked heaps!!
