Hi all.
I need some big time help with my 100 series IFS without the smart cracks about swapping for a 200 series (David) This is not an option.
I have a machine that needs desperately to have a lift to accomodate the weight that we carry permenantly in the back. With an improvement to the stability that to date has been pretty sad.
Can anyone recomend a mob that will do the right thing by us in Brisbane area.
Have had suggestions from so called experts that don't add up to a fix from my experience and limited knowledge.
We need a slight lift in the front and support for the permenant weight that is carried in the back along with the van draw bar weight.
Heeeeeeelp please.
Yours truly in frustration.

Hi Rudi
We have had 3 AGM's in our van since new in August 2005. They have been great with no problems.
They are Full River made in China. These batteries are also supplied by Springers the 12volt mob. They swear by them and have told me that they have never had to replace one for any reason since they have been selling them.
We have also had one in the car for the last two years as an aux battery without problems.
Good luck.

Hi guy's
We bought 2 today from Kedron. They are currently $90 each.
Twist Glen's arm and you could do better no guarantees on that though.
Mavis and Rod.
P.S. Bunnings will get them in if you are desperate and have lotsa cash.

Jock and Rhonda
So sorry to hear about the toilet being dumped.
The introduction to your property during the initial gathering in the shed could not have been clearer as to where to dump a toilet if required.
Again thanks for a wonderful weekend.

To Jock & Rhonda Morgan
We offer a huge thank you for a most unforgetable weekend.
We also would like to thank John (Bronco) & Juanita Johnson for their superb efforts, Bronco with the Quarry trip and M.C. duties and Juanita for slaving with Rhonda and Clare Morgan and the other girls with the food.
A big thanks to Keith and Clare Morgan for the Pineapple farm trip. Not to forget Pam and Peter for the visit to the unbelievable Strawberry farm and to their lime and Avocado property.
Another big thanks to the Quarry boys that allowed me to press the button on the explosives. Havn't done that since I was a kid on fishing trips grin.
What a great buz the whole weekend was.
To all the new acquaintances thanks for your company and we hope to catch you all in the not too distant future.

What a great weekend,total relaxation.
Must say that Mavis had a bit of difficulty this morning.
Our bovine friends were for some strange reason licking the ash remnants of the fire, even though it was still burning well in the middle.
Consequently it was most difficult to find a spot to sit that was warmed by the fire and free from the highly processed semi liquid grass and weeds that were deposited by the bovines grin.
Thanks again it was great.

Hi Pete and Tracey
The Nissan will do the job very well.
We had a 3 liter 2000 model and towed a 16'6" shower XC for a great trip up the center and down the West Coast and back home over the Nullabor. This machine did the job superbly. The 4.2 is a much stronger machine and can be tricked up without detrement to longevity if you need a bit more grunt.
We defected to a 100 series to get a legally higher tow capacity as we modified our van beyond the 2500kg capacity of our auto 3 litre and the 4.2 isn't available in auto.
Have no doubts your Nissan is an extremely capable machine that you can have the utmost confidence in.
Long live Nissans grin

G-day Eric and Jody.
So sorry to hear about the passing of the Nissan must be soooo traumatic for you both. At least you won't need the fuel tanker following you wherever you go now.
Mavis and me are still missing our old girl.
We are sure that you will develop a little fondness eventually for the "T" word   .
Best regards and hope to catch you both soon.

G-day Wayne & Cheryl
Agree completely with Darryl go for some specialist assistance each individual panel should be producing what you are seeing from your three.
The best we have seen from our three is 21 amps.

Greetings all.
News flash:
We have just experienced quite a traumatic day.
Our beloved Nissan 3L auto was picked up by it's new owner today amidst tears and regrets from both of us  .
We had it on the market for the last couple of months with lots of lookers but no takers, until a couple of weeks ago when a true gentleman (Nissan lover) and his wife came by for a test drive. They have a pop top off roader that dosn't get much exercise due to work commitments.(poor devils) They own a Ford Explorer (spit, hack choke).
It was just what they wanted. With the extras that we had fitted (long range main tank, drawers, chip, snorkel,in dash CB, electronic rust protection ,air bags, Mp3 radio, and a new late model engine +++,who would not love it ?).
So she is gone boo hoo leaving us with the Toyota 100 series to pull our beloved Kedron, groan.
Mr and Mrs Blackie please don't hate us grin we loved the Nissan.
Regards to all.

Hi Eric and Jody.
Yes we bought the hullivator from Sunstate Hobie.
He was $50 cheaper than anywhere else.
You have to lift the boat to about waist height on the Toyota to sit it in the rack.
It is so much easier than our last rack system.

Hi Ian and Jill
Each 120/130w panel has a max output of approximately 7.5 amps.
This will put your max output at around 30 amps. If your current controller can handle 30+ amps you will be ok (min PL40).
Would suggest some expert advice on another battery. Your maximum usage and the endurance of the set up that you have needs to be considered.
You can wire up as many batteries as you require, all you are doing is increasing your amp/hours available. (time that you have power without charge)
Good luck.

Hi all
Just a note to tell about a happy outcome with a problem on the van.
We had a problem when we first took delivery of our van with water getting into the tail lights (LED's).
Kedron replaced the faulty lights within the first 6 months no problems.
After the very wet Noosa North trip all the tail lights were again full of water and many LED's not working.
I Contacted the Aussie distributors (by E-mail) from the web addy on the lights and told them of our problem.
This mail was answered within 1 hour giving the name and contact # of the local agents for the lights and the assurance that they would be replaced under warranty (van was purchased 2005).
Long story shortened, rang the agents made an appointment after removing the defective lights and they were exchanged on the spot. I fitted them that afternoon ,happy ending.

Greetings Laurie.
We have been using a GME TX3440 for the last 5 months.
Can't fault it. Love everything on the mike, makes for a tidy setup.
The main body can be mounted anywhere out of the way so all you have is the mike and lead.Even comes with an extension for the lead incase you want to mount under the seat etc.
Love it.
Regards.

Hi to all
We did try the Biomagic and found that its deodorant properties were not as good as Thetford green.
A major discovery on our part recently was that Thetford chemicals only have a useful life of 7 day's max after use in the toilet before losing their deodorant properties.
Havn't tried the blue as we know that the green works to Mavis's satisfaction (a major bonus for Rod  )

Hi all
For those that were at Imbul and were interested in the Hobie peddle Kayaks or infact any canoe or kayak, we have just purchased a THULE HULLIVATOR rack loader.
This is one great bit of gear that makes loading and unloading the boat a breeze.
Have a look at the web site for info, or be at Noosa North for a demo.

Have a go at this Eric!

Hi Again to all
Got the van back from Spinifex and we are very pleased.
They moved our drinking water tank to the front replacing the original 60L with the original 80L shower tank.(this was a surprise as when the van was delivered we were told it was 100L) No wonder we never had enough water.
3 off 80L camel tanks were fitted and all the plumbing was redone inside the van to tidy up the original mess. These are 10ml thick tanks very robust. All guarding was put in place.
We are very pleased with the quality of workmanship and materials.
While it was there they replaced wheel bearings and adjusted the brakes. (supplying us with a spare pair of bearings, seal, bearing cap and splitpin).
A front window water leak that has been there since new was found to be tracking from somewhere on the roof. They also noticed the radio aerial had broken away from the top mount so they fixed that also.
In all very happy.
Regards to all

Greeting all
We have found ordinary shade cloth to be extremely effective as an annex floor on both dirt and sand.
It is easily swept clean can be made easilly to any size and is inexpensive light weight and compact for storage. Eyelets are very easy to install for pegging out.
Another gem passed on to us from brother inlaw is to use artificial grass carpet as mats in the car for the realy dirty stuff. Mud hoses off or breaks off when dry, if there is little water for cleaning.
Sand just shakes out and original floor coverings are kept dry and clean.
Regards.
