  1. Hi Ric & Lea and Andrew & Sally, Thank you for your help, Gordon contacted Kedron today and we are going to get Kedron to make the changes in a couple of weeks, apparently Kedron have a few people waiting have their vans fixed.

  2. Hi, Has anybody in the group heard of caravaners being booked because their registration plates are too high on the back of the van. We have been told the height should be 1.3 meters off the ground. I have just had a browse through the Australian Design Rules and they did not seem to have a section for caravans. Can anybody help? Regards Gordon& Chris Carrer

  3. Hi, to those lucky enough to be going to Tamworth, but Gordon had a knee replacement a couple of weeks ago and we will be unable to make it. It has been a couple of years since we went to Tamworth for the first time, you will come out confused wondering which shows we should have gone to and which not to go to. As it was our first year we mainly did a lot of freebies, we were able to see Pixie Jenkins and Warren h Williams, The Brothers Three we were on a Talent Show, The Round Mountain Girls to name a few. Hope you all enjoy yourselves Gordon & Chris Carter

  4. Gordon and Chris Carter, would like to thank Tom at Kedron for the service we received earlier this week when we took our van out for

some minor repairs we needed doing after our last trip, the service once again was great. Thank you Tom

  5. Hi Ian and Sue, I had our daughter post the photos of the changes to our van. We were unable to match the fabric, so it was decided to go with the leather. We are extremely happy with the end result. Just sorry we did not do it when we built the van.

  6. After a few years of indecision we finally bit the bullet and had our L Shaped Dinnette Converted to Café Dinnette. We were blown away when we picked the van up last Friday from Kedron. Dave, Tom and the Team did a great job and the service we received from them Kedron was brilliant, we cannot thank them enough. Gordon and Chris Carter.

Here a the before and after shots for you. The before shot may give you some idea. Unfortunately we didn't think to grab a photo before they started deconstruction!!

  7. Gordon has successfully replaced the screens in the dometic windows, they look so much better, the first one took a bit of time once that one was done the others were a lot easier, I stitched the pockets for the cord to go through, even though the instructions said that it was not necessary, it was not hard to do. We knew the white screen were dirty, did not realise until they were pulled to pieces just how bad they were, we do not appear to have any problems with the screens going up and down

  8. Hi Chris, Like Laurie and Helen we too are on our 2nd Kedron Van. Our first being a XCross Country Pop Top that we bought 2nd hand from the Sunshine Coast. The after sales service we had from David at the factory for minor repairs was brilliant even though the van was out of warranty. We went for the ATV this time as Kedron really do make a good reliable solid vanand good after sales service. Very happy with our van. Gordon & Chris Carter

  9. Hi Alan & Jayne, The reason for not taking the Van any further than Bramwell Junction was because we wanted to go into Captain Billy Landing (which we did not get to), Fruitbat Falls and Twin Falls where the road is very narrow, big dips and not too many places to camp and had planned to do part of the Old Telegraph Track but as we had a problem with the third battery breaking its mount in Cruiser and travelling on our own we thought discretion was the better part of valor. When we left Brisbane in June we did not plan on going to the Cape but only as far as Hopevale to Edie's camp, we were told the road to the Cape was like a four lane highway so we continued on and booked into Seisa into a donga for 3 nights. Enjoyed the trip though.

    Regards Chris Carter

  10. Hi Alan & Jayne, We did the cape last year and left the van at Bramwell Junction, Chilli Beach might be okay. Captain Billy Landing our opinion for what it is worth terrible. We took about 1 hour to do 7 Kms did not go all the way in. Would not attempt to take a van in as road was very narrow and winding with lots of overgrowth and corrigations. Regards Chris Carter

  11. Hi Hermit

Gordon & I did the cape last year took the van as far as Bramwell Junction as too many places to see that you could not get our van into. Our 4 seasons hatch is at the rear of the van and we had no dust come in. We have ATV2 just 12 months old. We put a piece of foam over the vent between the door and the screen door and it worked well.

    Regards

    Gordon & Chris Carter

  12. Hi Alex & Fiona, We were annoyed to find that two caravaners could cause so much distress. Do not know what would cause them to block the driveway common courtsey would tell them to leave the driveway clear. We had the pleasure of staying overnight at Banka Banka in 2006 and had a wonderful time especially with the very friendly Emu and Turkey, we would not hesitate in staying there again when we go back to the NT. Once again thank you for your kind hospitaility.

  13. Hi Paul & Cheryl, Thanks for the info but we forgot to ask which way did you go to get to Camerons Corner and also the section that you mentioned was a bit like a roller coaster was that the dunes near Camerons Corner, if it is how did you go towing the van up and down them. Gordon bumped into a chap we know from home and he was telling us about the dunes just outside Camerons Corner. Cheers Gordon & Chris
