  1. Hi Dismart sounds like you are going to do what we just have done. Are you buying a new 200 ?

We still need to have the van gvm upgrade done . Need to email photos of suspension to Kedron and they will mail us a new vin plate then over the pits . A big expense but we will be legal

  2. We have also bit the bullet and bought a new 200 series Sahara with the lovells GVM upgrade just waiting for delivery .

Have also ordered the new 4 t tow kit upgrade and will also be upgrading our Topender GVM from 3.5 to 3990 .

Not that we will be anywhere near that weight but will be legal ,can't wait for delivery and then start fitting all the bits and pieces .

  3. Hi Chris we or I should say Terry installed a 600 amp system into our top ender last May . Took him a lot longer than quoted but he had to redo our wiring from panels to batteries plus shift and installed more panels . We had to have the system tweeted via laptop twice to set the correct settings now very happy with the extra power available.

Yes cost was an arm and a leg but the result is fantastic you will never have to worry about conserving your power output

    Terry knows his stuff .

  4. We have had two Kedrons now and our current Topender has air bag suspension so a rather soft ride ,but you always need to reduce tyre pressures according to the condition . We have traveled the Great Central road and the Gibb with little problems in the cupboards .

Sure pack your stuff in well but slow down ,reduce tyre pressures and you shouldn't have to much trouble .

  5. Hi Twolands ,we had our local motor trimmer make up a set for us . Made from viynal with a Velcro strip the full length .

However we have found that although they do stop the arms from getting dirty ,the constant rubbing of the viynal is causing some of the white to paint come off .

Having said that we are leaving Albany WA on Monday to Cairns via the oonadatta and Birdsville tracks and home again via the savanna way so a lot of gravel and dust and the covers will be on the arms I think they are great .

Cost us $80 two years ago .

  6. Hi all we are going to replace our 2008  air con and was wondering if anyone has  installed the Domectic 342 model . I gather that this model was released in 2015 ,is a little lighter with 3kw Cooling and 2.9 heating ,but are they any good ?

    Hi Guys,

I'm purchasing a Kedron Van that I presume will be registered in Qld. I live in Perth, so will I need to have it re-registered for WA? -  and if so, is it similar to a car where it will have to be inspected first?

    regards;

Hi we bought our van in Qweensland drove it to WA and took it to our local licensed RTA inspection place  to register here in WA ,from memory cost around $200 .Might pay to contact them for the current situation .

It was overall quite easy they did not weigh the van the only thing was I had to get a letter from Kedron stating that they used the rated chains .Easy as

  8. Hello people and Happy new year .

Reading the forum regarding replacing the fly mesh I was thinking, what about using the magnetic fly screens instead of replacing the original screens as posted above.

Ours still look ok but have mozz--ies and midges coming in between the screen and window frame . the magnetic ones could be attached to the white surround with double sided tape . I was thinking to do at least two windows and maybe ,would be a lot easier to fit and can be removed when not needed ,  or am I way off the mark .

    Any thoughts on this.

  10. Hi Bryan maybe a Little to late but I had one of those remote sencors installed as our vast box in in the cupboard but it failed and now all I have to do is leave the door open .the signal seems to bounce off the ceiling.

I noticed that yours is going in the open shelve ? If that's the case it may well work without the extender

  11. Gyday ob1 our first Kedron was a 2005 xc and were very happy with it but as previous owners have said the fixtures may need a good looking at .overall Kedron make a top van and most owners look after them and many even upgrade them but yea check it out I personally would get a expert to give it a once over just for another opinion it would be worth the money spent .

How much can you tow with your 2004 Landcruiser ? You should also remember the weight of water ,food ,clothing ect these usually add up to plus minus 500 kg even if you are careful what you take

  12. Hi Clive and Sandra yes we had the same problem with our previous Kedron and found it tricky to work out .

Have you got a manual for your set up.?

We had one and I must say it was still hard to do and I found myself checking all the time cause it was so easy to leave them on .

We have portable speakers now and they work just fine as long as I remember to disconnect them.

If you haven't a manual perhaps someone can send you a copy to help you out
