Tardis
Does anyone have any good ideas or advice about where to store/carry petrol for a generator?A warning notice on the jerry-can holders on the A-frame at the front of our van says they are for water or diesel only. And it seems it might illegal to carry a jerry-can of petrol on the back of van.Thoughts and suggestions?Cheers,Steve and Lyn
RickA
G`Day Steve & LynWe use a 5 litre plastic can for fuel, and it fits nicely next to the genny slide in the genny hatch. The Honda 2 holds 5 litres of petrol and with the can that gives us about 25/30hrs.running time.Just have to remember :tongue_ss: to top up, any chance you get when travelling.Cheers Rick & Lea

John and Ann
Hi All,Be sure to vent the Generator box if you are going to store fuel in there
Jacky Jacky
Hi all.Why no petrol on drawbar? We don't have the notice on ours (bought secondhand).Cheers Mick. Not real sure Mick, but I think it has to do with petrol having a lower ignition point (than diesel) and being so close to the gas bottles. Mayzee
Hi Peter & Maree,We also carry our chainsaw and 5ltr petrol container in the Genny box and sometimes notice petrol fumes in the van. Where did Kedron put the vent and what size? If possible a photo would be great.Thanks.
