Dunmowin Posted August 15, 2012 Report Share Posted August 15, 2012 Have a SMEV 401 installed in my Kedron caravan. Have never been happy with the heat in the oven. Apparently Mark 4 = 180 degrees, but have had the oven cranked up to mark 6 with thermometer in the oven and temp has not gove over 150Any suggestions? RickA Posted August 16, 2012 Report Share Posted August 16, 2012 DunmowinSWMBO suggests removing oven from van and place under wheels off very large passing truck. If you turn on oven flat out about 2 hrs. before using you may get it up to 170deg.There is supposed to be some sort of adjustment on the oven door to make it fit better ,but after 4 1/2 yrs we still haven`t found it.
