  1. Hello

our 21'external ATV came in at 3800kg's loaded & full of water. ..400kg's on the hitch..that was loaded & ready to travel..our van has 3 battery's,3 panels ..

some other manufacturers take you to a public weighbridge before you leave..i think this is a good idea..

    Regards Danny

  2. Hi all

this is what i have done with mine..air cleaner element should keep alll dirt out & not restrict the air flow...poly pipe fits snugly inside the air intake..i will slide inside 90mm pvc to stop any water or stone damage & attatch to cross member.

    Cheers Danny

  3. We have just purchased a s/hand chev with a 6.6l Duramax..just wondering if anyone else has put another fuel filter on & what you used.??would like to put a another filter before the factory one but not too sure what to use..had a 5 micron on the cruiser with no probs but i think these have a lot of fuel bypass to keep things cool..

    Cheers Danny

  4. Thanks Colin.

That is exactly my problem.Tom is very good & sends more latches but it does not solve the problem.

wondering if may be able to post some pics [more the better] on this site as it is a problem most Kedron owners who travel on some rough roads will encounter.

    Cheers Danny

  5. Wondering if anyone has come up with a plan to stop draw latches breaking??? i have all draws adjusted up but still break the top 2 [& others occasionally]on dirt roads..Tyres are down as is speed.resorted to bunngie strap inside the top draw on the way home.worked ok but not really ideal..Sick of travelling with the draws on the bed..

    Regards Danny

  6. Just an update on the Hawks head tyre Monitors..

We have done about 10 thousand k's now with no trouble..been across the Gibb & up to Kalumburu etc etc..[in Derby now for the overnighter on the horizontal falls boat]

Only thing i have changed is the wiring to the signal booster..it is now hard wired to the anderson plug rather than to an ignition fed wire..i have a fuse on the wire that i will pull out when at home..it was a bit slow to pick up signal when wired to ignition fed wire..

pretty happy with them so far.

  7. Morning John

Andrew Mill is the man to see..he trades as... TEM Consulting Services..Engineering Concepts and Solutions..he is staying at Lee Point caravan park for a while...to upgrade our ute cost about $1350 including tow bar bracket, compliance plate & documents.the van was about $350 including plate & documents..i also had to buy a DO45 hitch as the DO 35 is not rated high enough..

    Andrew's ph is 0408756623

  8. I have now got a set of Hawshead TPMS from America..done 4000k's & no probs so far..i got the 8 sensor set with the signal booster.they were very quick to arrive seem very accurate..

  9. HI Fred..

Chilli beach is great but i would avoid port stewart.. was a dirty smelly place with the normal locals waiting to drink your beer & charge heaps for what was a filthy spot..

    Cheers Danny

  10. I know this gets asked a bit on forums but what brand of fridge would we all get if we were getting a new off road van built??We have the vitro now & it works well..recommended one to a mate & it's a failure .he has had 2 & still not happy as they won't even keep bread frozen.

    Regards Danny

  11. HI Chris

When we are home i have a 5amp Ctek charger that i leave plugged into the anderson plug.once a month i turn it off and turn the fridge on for 5 hours or so..Ctek is $105 with a 5 year warranty.recon this is better than running the zantrex all the time.I also take the Ctek with us as i have found that the zantrex will show an error if voltage is too high or low..257 volts at Cunnamulla last year..

    so far no probs..

    Cheers Danny & Sue
