  2. g,day all , just a bit of an update on our travels for anyone heading this way. left mitchell , to charleville , at cobb & co park, not as crowded as bailey bar , did the bilby thing and others, nice town. 20klm. west to ward river,2 nights, good area. on to quilpie and lake houdraman just east of town 4 nights. about halfway to windorah , kyabra creek for 2 nights , then onto the coopers at windorah for a couple of nights. 220 klm . gravel to boulia , all in good nick when we went over it . stopped half way and had the night in the red sand dunes , best overnighter s far . bourke river at boulia , behind rodeo ground, trees alive with budgerigars nesting. mt isa , one night , moondarra park, one night was enough. onward to georgina river at camooweal for a week , great spot. across the barkly via soudan, 41 mile bore, to banka banka . on to mattraranka via newcastle waters, daly waters pub, elsey national park, and bitter springs where we are now . nice park here , mattaranka springs park is pretty average , so gave it a miss, much better here . off to katherine then victoria river downs in a couple of days. hope i have'nt sent you to sleep with this lot. c u on the road, cheers, gazza.

  6. g'day russ, just a few lines to say hello , we were at keiambla in the cross country , with the the two camper vans . good to hear all your niggles were sorted. got that regulator sorted but gained a few leaks instead . whats the story with the fridge replacement? might catch up at benaraby if you"re still going there ,c u later gazza.
  7. g'day gordon; just finished doing that with sikaflex white and seems to have fixed it , but i don't think we should have to do this on todays "modern vans". am off to w.a. via the gibb river in april , so this should sort out any other bugs that may be hiding, thanks for the advice, c u on the road , gazza.
  8. gday all, i have purchased a 2005 xc a couple of months ago , very happy with it until it rained and water poured in from tops of the windows. i thought ok , easy fixed, reseal the windows ,not so . after much taping and ripping off of 100 m.p.h. tape , isolated the entry points to be the overlap joints on the exterior of the van . i have owened a few vans and have never seen anything like this. it appears that the water runs up under the joint [10mm] and into the wall cavity. has anyone come across this before , i certainly have'nt. cheers, gazza d
