Pete and Tracey
Hi everyone,What have people done with the space between the rear tyres and the backside of the van? There is almost a foot of space between the tyre rack and the van and the width of the van.I was after some ideas as to what to use it for. Any offerings appreciated.6 weeks to go untill Tracey and I are off on the big lap, for how long? Who Knows!! :-)
Tolley
hello Pete and Tracey,You will find it a really useful space. On my TE I carry the folded up plastic matting we put down outside the van under the awning, a long handle shovel, an open fire BBQ plate wrapped in cardboeard and a garbag, a block of wood that is our door step, a rubber door mat. Then, as we approach a free camp we stop and collect fire wood and lay it across the back between the spares and the van.Regards Tolley
the crow and i
Hi Pete, Tracey and TolleyI modified the rear bar to fit the heater tank (I still have to fabricate and fit the ally cover) and in the process I made the spare tyres swing out as the boat trailer limited access. No problems getting the wood and gear in and out now.CheersBryan
