Mrs Lynn Astill
Gday all.We hope to be setting out indefinitely in October after a couple of false starts due to health issues. I was wondering what everyone does regarding 'dump points' when free-camping for extended periods. Is it just a case of dig a hole in an appropriate spot? We will not use chemicals as we will have an SOG system on the dunny. On another note, we propose to point the car west from Brissy hoping to be in the Kimberley in May next year. Any advice on the best route?Look forward to your thoughts.ThanksChris
sellinup
HI CHRIS Re Dump points, we have been full time living and traveling for about 1.1/2 yrs now, and before we started we purchised a second casette, which means it can be around 7 days before we have to empty them, and we have always come across a dump point within that time. But if we had to, yes digging a hole would be the go,obviously away from any water course ect, and min of 100mm of soil over top of it when buried. REGARDS MAL.
