Di and Bob
Has anybody had any experience with the CGear matting? By the looks of the advertising it seems ideal, light weight, dust proof etc.Bob & Di

Bomber
It looks like it may be a bit slippery underfoot, like shade mesh. Peter

Rod and Mavis
Greeting all We have found ordinary shade cloth to be extremely effective as an annex floor on both dirt and sand.It is easily swept clean can be made easilly to any size and is inexpensive light weight and compact for storage. Eyelets are very easy to install for pegging out. Another gem passed on to us from brother inlaw is to use artificial grass carpet as mats in the car for the realy dirty stuff. Mud hoses off or breaks off when dry, if there is little water for cleaning. Sand just shakes out and original floor coverings are kept dry and clean.Regards.Rod and Mavis
Jacky Jacky
Hi Bob & Di,We use an Annex Floor Netting which we bought from Camec. We find it pretty good and it lets sand and dirt fall through. http://www.camec.com.au/ Look under Awnings and Camping Equipment.Flynnie has another type of matting and it is a bit 'softer' on the feet. I think he got his from Bunnings. We can bring ours up to Island Reach if you want to have a look at it and didn't need to get some before then. JETnomads
We also use the matting that comes from Camec. It's fairly pricey though. It has quite an open weave, does not kill the grass, dirt and sand fall through it and it, can be swept if you get sticks and dead grass on top of it. Does not seem as slippery as some other types and dries quickly if it gets wet. Our daughter had the more rubbery type that looks like a pattern of squares, (came from Bunnings). It was very rubbery and quite slippery. Everything stayed on top of it and it was difficult to sweep clean. She was not happy with it and changed to the Camec one.CheersJody

Guest David & Debbie
Hi Bob & DiWe purchased the Matting just under a year ago. we mainly use it on sandy areas. It looks identical to shade cloth works very well, cleans easily & we have had no issues with it being slippery. Folds easily away into its own carry bag. we purchased ours at last years sydney caravan show . RegardsDavid & Debbie
Rosco
The local camping store "Go Camping" has it for sale. I saw it on the weekend. I am sure it is just 2 layers of shade cloth. Quite expensive for what it is.Rosco
Di and Bob
Thanks for your replies, we went ahead and bought one - happy with it so far and it does fold up to a small package & is fairly light.Bob & Di
