Anderson Plug Charge

I have a 2012 XC3, can anyone shed some light on the fact that when the van is disconnected to the vehicle, I have no power to the Anderson plug on the draw bar? My old ATV II used to always have 12 volts of power to the Anderson plug which was handy to run a water pump or fridge etc.

I have checked all fuses and none are blown, I cannot find a diode in the front boot anywhere that would prevent 12 volts from flowing in either direction?

Seems odds that the system is set up to only allow 12 volts to flow from the tow vehicle to the van and not in the other direction.

Does anyone have an experience with this, I would appreciate your thoughts!!

Thanks
