JimDi
Could someone offer advice please on a problem with our vitrigo 12/240 fridge. The 12 volt side is working perfectly, but the 240 volt side has stopped for whatever reason. As far as checking has gone....the thermometer is switched on...I have power to the power point. Can get by until I find a fridge mechanic but just thought someone may have an idea for troubleshooting.RegardsJim
dazmit
Hi JimAs far as I'm aware the Vitros are usually 12V only and they install a mobitronic transformer unit to convert from 240V to 12V. These automatically switch to run off of 240V supply when it's available. These regularly fail but usually when they fail the fridge will only run off of a 240V supply and not 12V.I reckon the best thing to do is throw away the mobitronics as they also have a inbuilt 0.5 Volt loss in them which means 0.5 volts less into the fridge off of 12V batts. Have a look in a cupboard under or above the fridge for a black box which plugs into a 240V outlet , 12V outlet and has some wires going to the back of the fridge.CheersDarryl
