Ian K
Thought we'd canvass opinions on the merits of having an inbuilt Sovereign BBQ or to use a standalone unit with bayonet supply from the van. We note that few owners seem to have inbuilt units on their published layouts . We are presently tending towards a standalone unit due to Island bed layout and BBQ box intrusion, to reduce tow ball loads a little, and flexibilty when camping with the 4WD. Also any recommendations on a good standalone model.Any feedback would be appreciated.ThanksIan & Robyn
RickA
G`Day Ian & RobynWe had BBQ hatch installed without BBQ ,outside bayonet fitted at front. We purchased a Webber Baby Qwhich we (read me Rick) use nearly every Night. We use it for Roasting ,grilling, baking cakes etc. It`s a Bloody Ripper. We highly recommend it.The Barby fits nicely in the hatch.Regards Rick & Lea.
Rod and Mavis
G-day Ian & Robyn We also have a "Baby Q 120" this one has the fold out tables on each end (very handy) we find it perfect for us.We don't have a BBQ cupboard built into the van so we use a "Redback" Accessory table that attaches to the side of the van at front or back where we had bayonet gas fittings installed by Mark Lewis [matabeem@bigpond.com] Tel: Brisbane 3285 4664 a fellow Kedroner. It is a great set up for us and as previously stated roasts and bbq's to perfection.Good luck.Rod and Mavis. King and Deb
We have had a Weber Baby Q for a few years now. We bought the original Baby Q without side tables but have just recently purchased the side tables. Our BBQ lives under our bed in the ATV. We are very happy with the way it cooks.....so much so we recently replaced our home BBQ with the largest Webber Q. cvtripper
Another vote for the Weber Q....We have the Weber Q (not the baby) and it fits in an external locker, has it's own stand and plugs into a bayonet fitting in the side of the van.Fantasic for BBQ, roasts etc.Wouldn't exchange it for anything else.
